Steve Clemons Reports McCain & Obama Camps Coordinated on Building Staff Rosters for Next Government:

"...A senior Obama campaign official shared with The Washington Note that In July 2008, the McCain and Obama camps began to work secretly behind the scenes to assemble large rosters of potential personnel for the administration that only one of the candidates would lead..."

At this point, the story is as Clemons termed it, "A Scoop", so there hasn’t been verification of this by other sources at this time.

Since the election just took place a few days ago, the Republicans are just coming to terms with their loss.  It can’t be easy for them to accept losing power after pretty much having control of Congress from 1994 to 2006, and now again losing control of Congress as well as the Presidency.  Though the people have sent a clear message--both in 2006 and 2008 that they have had enough of the Republican brand of incompetence, malfeasance and divisiveness, they are still refusing to heed the message— "GOP is Split Over Fighting Obama’s every Move: (emphasis mine)

"Only days after losing the White House and suffering large defeats in both houses of Congress, the Republican Party is striking a posture of defiance.

"Within the past 48 hours, the RNC has sent out memos blasting the president elect for appointing Rahm Emanuel as his chief of staff and hiring David Axelrod to serve an advisory role..."

I’ve been on the phone again this morning, calling Senators about getting our troops out of Iraq ASAP. While I’ve attempted to be polite, I’ve also been righteously angry.  While taking a short break to cool down a bit, I decided to ask for some help.  I’ve been writing comments over the last few days, urging people to join the battle.  BarbinMD suggested that I put my urgings into an Action Diary, so here it is.

I know most of you have been calling/writing/faxing your congress members whenever there have been important issues being considered in the House or Senate.  I know you’ve probably contacted them, maybe many times, about ending the Iraq war.  I know you're probably tired of contacting them--I know I am.  But as Molly Ivins said, "...It's Up to Us--You and me, Bubba..." So, I’m asking you to do it again.  I’m not only asking you to do it once, I’m asking you to do it every day, if possible, until they can’t stand the harassment any more.  I’m asking you to hold their feet to the fire and demand they stand up to GWB.  Please Join Me below the fold
