Sun Dec 16, 2007 at 02:41:22 AM PDT

I am conserving food cause it cost so much to eat. Making less trips to the grocery store.

I am conserving drugs by splitting my medication or going without.

I am conserving gas by making fewer excursions.

I am conserving my money by not buying as much crap from China.

Big Oil's big dreams are close to coming true

Well, Looks like  Bush and VP Cheney will have a MERRY Christmas. They are getting what They Really really wanted.

Analysis: Big Oil to sign Iraq deals soon
By BEN LANDO
UPI Energy Editor
WASHINGTON, Dec. 6 (UPI) -- Big Oil's big dreams are close to coming true as Iraq's Oil Ministry prepares deals for the country's largest oil fields with terms that aren't necessarily what companies were hoping for but considered a foot in the door of the world's most promising oil sector.

Iraq's proven oil reserves are only smaller than those in Saudi Arabia and Iran -- and the country is only about 30 percent explored.

So This is how the Surge Is Working In Iraq-No Oil, No Food

Fri Dec 07, 2007 at 01:53:36 AM PDT

The Bushprints on the world are widening. I'm not saying Bush and Cheney invented corruption, but they sure have shown the world how to do it and continue to get away with doing it especially in Iraq.

"We need US$5-6 billion instead of the US$3.1 billion allocated for the rations’ system in 2008 to cope with the soaring prices of these items on international markets. In addition, there has also been an increase in shipping and transportation costs worldwide and inside Iraq," al-Soodani said.

Al-Soodani blamed corruption and manpower shortages in his ministry for the malfunctioning of the nationwide rations’ system, the poor quality of items distributed and delays in delivering them. He said his ministry had only 30,000 employees running the rations’ system for 30 million people.

Sex in the Holy Books Written By Men

Mon Dec 03, 2007 at 03:50:18 AM PDT

While I was surfing my morning news sites I came across someone who has taken the time to collect many, maybe all, of the sex verses in the bible.
It was a lot of fun to read and it explains why so many people who preach and believe that the bible is the word of god are so screwed up in their personal sex lives and their perceptions of others sex lives.

My personal observation (and conclusion) is that humans have always been 'confused' about the right and wrong act of sex.

Sex in the Bible This link goes to the Long list. I think they have been interpreted for an easy read but give Chapter and Verse reference:
*emphasis mine-for the killing factor-OY!

Rationing Food, Spinning Reality, Hatred and Lies

Sat Dec 01, 2007 at 03:10:36 AM PDT

Bushco has created such a cavern of division in America with his conservative compassionate double speak between the rich and poor, democrats and republicans, christians and the others, and among his own White house employees.

Where did all the hatred come from?
Karl Rove, though clever and politically twisted, seems to be the brains behind a lot of what is spewed by Rush Limbaugh, Sean, Hannity, Glenn Beck, and all things Fox News related.

Rove is busy right now spinning and lying about Bush's history.

Amending the Constitution to Protect Human Fertilized Eggs

Wed Nov 28, 2007 at 01:43:14 AM PDT

What's next? I suppose one could argue that if the Constitution could be Amended to give personification to Corporations for a myriad of human rights and protections why not extend same rights for a human fertilized egg?

101-year-old Briton poses topless for calendar

A 101-year-old British pensioner has posed topless for a nude calendar to raise money for a local football team, a report said Wednesday.

Nora Hardwick will be Miss November in the calendar, aimed at raising money for her children's team Ancaster Athletic in her village in Lincolnshire, eastern England.

"It's a great way of raising money, it's a laugh and it's a way of getting Ancaster on the map," said the 35-year-old, who is Miss December according to a report on the paper's website at www.lincolnshireecho.co.uk.

The calendar was intended as a low-key local event -- although since news of the event spread, media enquiries have come in from as far afield as Brazil and New Zealand.

Clinton wins surprise support from former French first lady

PARIS (Reuters) - U.S. presidential candidate Hillary Clinton won surprise backing from the wife of former French President Jacques Chirac on Thursday, together with a pledge to join her on the campaign trail.

Choosing by Gender, how is this wrong?

Sun Nov 18, 2007 at 03:47:52 AM PDT

I do not understand the hatred by many towards Hillary Clinton. I can understand some not wanting to vote for her who disagree with particular issues, but not the hatred. It seems too personal and I just don't get where that level of hatred comes from.

I think some must come from the barrage of conservative negativity info, opinions spewed continually towards women in general that has seeped in the MSM watchers mentality, by so many talking heads (particularly on Faux News) with the increase of exploitive portrayal of the 'perfect woman eye-candy'; and the increase of the bible-thumping fundamentalist influence and reinforcement of a woman's role according to the men who wrote the bible.

And according to the following article the term of Feminist with younger people appears to be a negative thing. When did this happen?

Fox News Porn and Internal Meltdown?

Wed Nov 14, 2007 at 02:09:58 AM PDT

I despise Fox News and only watch bits and pieces as I flip through channels. But I have noticed, however briefly that it is getting sleazier by the day as Keith Olberman and Robert Greenwald talk about here:Fox Porn

Greenwald: Fox adds sexually explicit video into serious news stories
While many commentators on Fox News are ideologically opposed to cultural smut, Fox News finds a way to fit that same smut into many of their broadcasts. So says Robert Greenwald, whose new mini-documentary details Fox's misuse of sexually explicit video in their news programming.

"It seems consistent," he said on MSNBC's Countdown with Keith Olbermann. "It certainly seems to be the pattern with [Fox President Roger] Ailes, who has taken every possible element of news and degraded it, degenerated it, and turned it into, in this case, smut. And if it is not smut, we see the right wing propaganda."

So I've done a little background search on the Fox News CEO Roger Ailes.

Why was Edwards at Bilderberg Conference in 2004?

'He reported back directly to Kerry' said participant in super-secret conference

Sen. John Edwards' standout "performance" at the super-secret Bilderberg meeting in Italy last month may have been a key reason for his selection as John Kerry's vice presidential running mate, according to the New York Times.

The 50th anniversary conference of the elite group – which many believe conspires semi-annually to foster global government – met June 3 through June 6 in Stresa, Italy, at the Grand Hotel des Iles Borromees.

Among the attendees from the U.S., according to a list obtained by WND, were Senators John Edwards, D-N.C. and Jon Corzine, D-N.J., Henry Kissinger, Richard Perle, Melinda Gates (wife of Bill Gates), David Rockefeller, Timothy F. Geithner, president of the Federal Reserve Bank of New York, Donald Graham, chairman and CEO of the Washington Post Company, and even Ralph Reed, former head of the Christian Coalition.

Political Trees and Bushes

Fri Nov 09, 2007 at 06:47:36 AM PDT

Sometimes a picture is worth a thousand words or something like that.

When I need to think something out I always turn to nature. The fresh air and fauna always clears my mind and opens it for good old fashion thinking. I think most of us would agree that nature is good for the soul and refreshes our lives when we need a break from every day routines, problems and stress.

I think Trees are a good symbolic way to look at politicians. Whether you agree on my tree choices is up to you. I am open to better examples, but hope you enjoy or can appreciate this different view.

Come out on a limb..

Regnery Books Screws Its Conservative Authors

Regnery Publishing Company is famous for publishing mostly conservative writers' books.

"They’ve structured their business essentially as a scam and are defrauding their writers," Mr. Miniter said in an interview, "causing a tremendous rift inside the conservative community."

Most authors do not get rich writing. Most writers do not get the royalties we think are due us.
I know this for a fact as I have six books under my belt (seven if I count my Children's book I wrote especially for my grandson) and I am so not rich. My Books

Eve, 76, does time for peace

Eve deserved one of the Medals of Freedom that Bush bestowed the other day.

Eve, 76, does time for peace
Eve was with the group who attempted to deliver the coffin to the steps of the west side of the Capitol, the side facing the mall. The police repeatedly stopped her group that day. The first police line they encountered was when they crossed Constitution Avenue, and were warned that they were violating a permit by crossing the street from where a morning rally had been held. Then her somber and mournful group was stopped twice more on the west lawn. During the third attempt by the police to turn back a group of peaceful protesters simply wishing to express their complete opposition to the war and occupation in Iraq, Eve was shoved and fell to the ground where she bumped her head.

Bush Vetoes Water Projects Bill

WASHINGTON (AP) — An increasingly confrontational President Bush on Friday vetoed a bill authorizing hundreds of popular water projects even though lawmakers can count enough votes to override him.

Bush brushed aside significant objections from Capitol Hill, even from Republicans, in thwarting legislation that provides money for projects like repairing hurricane damage, restoring wetlands and preventing flooding in communities across the nation.
