Bill says a "cover-up" is hiding Hillary's chances, blathers about popular vote (UPDATED with video)

Mon May 26, 2008 at 11:00:22 AM PDT

Okay, I had pretty much promised to cool it with the Hillary-bashing. I mean, it's just making us all sad. But this one...wow, I just couldn't let this one go by. According to Bill, Hillary could still win this race, but the media (or somebody) is covering it up, and the fact that she can still win is a "little secret."

I'd like to reiterate that, as a mental health professional, I am truly concerned about his/their mental health status at this point. This is just really getting outrageous.

SOURCE: Bill cries "cover-up."

McCain Recruiting Daily Kos Comment Trolls

Tue May 20, 2008 at 06:04:06 PM PDT

(From the diaries. Thanks to the McCain campaign for promoting Daily Kos! -- kos)

I got a pretty good laugh out of this piece on HuffPo:
McCain Campaign: Comment Trolls Wanted.

The McCain campaign has posted the following hilarious message on its McCain Online Action Center:

Help spread the word about John McCain on news and blog sites. Your efforts to help get the message out about John McCain's policies and plan for the future is one of the most valuable things you can do for this campaign. You know why John McCain should be the next President of the United States and we need you to tell others why.

Select from the numerous web, blog and news sites listed here, go there, and make your opinions supporting John McCain known. Once you’ve commented on a post, video or news story, report the details of your comment by clicking the button below. After your comments are verified, you will be awarded points through the McCain Online Action Center.

Clearly, dKos is one of the "featured blog sites" for trolls.

There's also a "Talking Points" section, which relieves comment trolls of that bothersome burden of "thinking of clever stuff to say" and allows them to just copy and paste! The best part: send the McCain campaign a link to your trolling and you get points. Seriously! Points! I wonder if they let you use your accrued points to buy McCain's soul back from the neo-cons.

Let's fix what WVWV broke

Fri May 02, 2008 at 09:13:38 AM PDT

Some of you may have seen my earlier diary trying to nail down John Podesta on what he knew about WVWV and when and what he's going to do about it. I haven't heard from him in the last day or so (raise your hand if you're surprised!) and I just sent him the following email:

[UPDATE] John Podesta responds to WVWV robo-call scandal (with new response)

Wed Apr 30, 2008 at 06:23:48 PM PDT

UPDATED 5/2: No word from Mr. Podesta yesterday. Scroll all the way down for my latest email to him.

UPDATED 5/1: We're at the bottom of the Rec list! We need to keep this in people's faces. Let's get Rec'ing, people!

UPDATED 5/1 with new response.

I was, like everyone else here, extremely upset when I heard Facing South's (tremendous) report today about the Women's Voices, Women Vote robo-calls in North Carolina.

"Unready:" The most horrifying HRC quote of the entire primary.

Yeah, I know that sets a high bar. But I'm serious. Make sure you're sitting down.

I'm proud of my Indiana-living, Obama-loving Mom.

Thu Apr 10, 2008 at 10:39:44 AM PDT

My momma loves Obama. She sent me a picture this morning of her wearing her new Obama sweatshirt, which she's committed to wearing to work at least 3 days a week until the Indiana primary. (Don't worry, she plans on washing it.)

What I Wanna Know (former Deaniac seeks Gen Dean video)

Tue Apr 08, 2008 at 07:36:35 AM PDT

To my fellow Deaniacs (I know you're out there!) - does anyone have a link to the "What I Wanna Know" flash video from the Generation Dean website? We used to watch it every day in the Nashua, NH field office and suddenly I'm dying to watch it again, but the Gen Dean website is now defunct and YouTube is useless. (Have you tried searching YouTube for Howard Dean lately? 70 million clips of the Dean Scream and 700 million clips of "My 2 year old imitates the Dean Scream!")

Anybody got a link? Pretty pretty please?

Um, yeah. Don't call me sweetie.

Sun Apr 06, 2008 at 10:48:48 AM PDT

I just ran across the most horrifying article. I'm trying to remember the last time I was so incredibly offended by something that wasn't said by a Clinton. I'm coming up empty.

I support Obama. I work for a health insurance company.

Sat Mar 29, 2008 at 10:06:06 AM PDT

So, I've been inspired to write my first diary entry because of this whole "Clinton says Obama is lying about not taking money from big oil" dustup. (see link.) So, Obama says he doesn't take oil company money, and Hillary says, yes he does, because he takes money from people who work for oil companies. So here's the thing. I work for a major health insurance company, and I donate to Obama. Does that mean he takes money from "big insurance?"
