A Low for Daily Kos
Tue Apr 22, 2008 at 06:59:57 PM PDT
I've been here for a while... I'm not super ancient, but have more or less lurked since the Dean days. I started reading regularly during the Gannon/Guckert flap, and have seen my share of silly stuff happen here at Daily Kos.
I've seen major "superstar" posters flame out, saw a big one leave for being outed, some amazing pie fights, and an incessant influx of "trolls." I don't mind that, as the trolls are rooted out, and the silliness usually gives way to reason. That's one of the reasons I've kept coming back... a nice, reasonable point of view here.
But today, I'm disgusted, and here's why, after the fold:

I finally get to post a "scoop!"
TRUTHOUT: ABC to Pull Contraversial Docudrama
by Jason Leopold
Former President Bill Clinton spent more than half a day Friday at the offices of Disney, the owners of ABC. During the course of that meeting, Clinton served attorneys for Disney with an indictment charging the embattled multimedia conglomerate with defamation and lying to the American people about the former President's role in the hunt for Osama bin Laden in the years prior to 9/11, and instructed one of the attorneys to tell ABC that they have 24 business hours to pull the fictitious show from their programming schedule, high level sources with direct knowledge of the meeting said Saturday morning.
This is exciting! I'm going to forward this to all my friends! I probably should have put "BREAKING:" in the title.

According to a
New York Times article, we Democrats do not forgive a candidate for running for President and losing. They use the last two presidential candidates as examples, and contrast them with the likes of Bob Dole.
"Shenanigans" Formally Declared Upon Truthout.Org
Fri May 19, 2006 at 12:26:04 PM PDT
Get out your brooms, because I am issuing a Formal Declaration of "Shenanigans" on truthout.org, Jason Leopold, William Rivers Pitt, and Marc Ash. Truthout, I'm sure most know, is the organization which last Saturday put out a story
claiming that Karl Rove was indicted one week ago, after a secret 15-hour meeting in which Rove was told he had 24 hours to get his affairs in order.

This is my first diary, and I'm writing to ask advice as to what to do in today's Texas primaries.
