I'm really, insanely, extremely nervous about Tuesday and the election.  I'm not referring to the polls possibly tightening, or the possibility of voter fraud, suppression, or miscounting.  just sort of a general nervousness.  the type an athlete gets before a big game.

You see, I'm a 22 year-old Political Science student.  I've been paying attention to politics since around 2000.  At the time, I thought I was independent.  The more I learned the more I realized my views weren't really where I thought they were.  My views never really changed, just my realization of who shared them.  When I was younger I was more idealistic, I thought "Well, if I can figure this out, surely most people must agree with me.  Neither side can be too far off if I, as a reasonable, intelligent person think this way."  not to sound arrogant, but when more than one teacher tells you you're in the top echelon of students they've ever taught (intelligence, not hard work, I was lazy), you start to think you're pretty smart.

Then, I went off to college...
