Last Friday, a Connecticut Register Citizen article by Charles W. Kim entitled "Lieberman Wins Torrington Battle" was published to little fanfare.

There was a battle?  Oh, you mean this guy:

TORRINGTON - Democratic Town Committee member William Battle resigned from the committee Thursday to remain campaign coordinator for incumbent U.S. Sen. Joe Lieberman.
"I won't do anything to disrupt the committee," Battle said Thursday night. "The by-laws (of the committee) say you can only work toward the person that won the primary."

Well, that all sounds reasonable: he's a Lieberman supporter, Lieberman's no longer a Democratic candidate, so Mr. Battle was right to step down.  Not much of a story here, despite Mr. Kim's best efforts to spin it as a huge black eye to the Lamont campaign somehow.  At least the Lieberman compound isn't lying about Ned Lamont's volunteer teaching at an inner-city school or something...oh wait.

And that should have been the end of this non-story...
