My letter to the Superdelegates
Fri Feb 15, 2008 at 12:54:01 PM PDT
Today (in fact, about 10 minutes ago) I received an e-mail from the Obama campaign urging me to write out a personal story about why I support Senator Obama. They are collecting these stories in order to pass them on to Superdelegates. To me, this exemplifies the positive stuff the Obama campaign is all about. They're putting it in my hands-- the hands of the voter-- to show the party elite why this movement matters.

NYS NOW is still pissing off this feminist!! *UPDATE*

Okay, I'm sick of this crap. This is my first diary and I'm just seething from the unintelligent, ridiculous Hillary forwards I'm getting from NYS NOW-- in response to my critical, concerned letter to them regarding the OUTRAGEOUS censure of Ted Kennedy.
Here was my letter, to which I never received any sort of response tailored to its content:
To whom it may concern:
I am a young feminist and Ph.D. student in New York City. I do not
support the sentiments expressed in your statement today. I am a true
progressive, and I can no longer support Clinton after her campaign's
race-baiting tactics over the past few weeks. I teach a widely
diverse group of young men and women who are excited about this
country and believe that they can make a difference in our
government. I was ashamed (for them) of the Clinton campaign's low
appeal to the worst instincts in American voters. Hillary has lost me
forever.
Thank you
Here is what they sent me today... behind the jump...
