There is an unbelievable story on HDNet:

which exposes what I would think is criminal behavior on the part of (1) ES&S iVotronic voting machines and (2) Sequoia punch card ballots in Palm Beach County.

This story first ran on August 14 and I am amazed I haven't seen the story on Daily Kos or on any of my usual blogs. I found the story at The Brad Blog. A decent transcript of the story is at

We are in desperate need for Democratic candidates for President to take a strong stand against war with Iran. Without strong democratic leadership our only hope is that somehow the war opposition within the military or within the Bush administration itself can prevent a war.

The worst part of this situation is that all 3 of our top tier; Hillary Clinton, Barack Obama, and John Edwards, have been pretty poor in their positions on Iran. The 2nd and 3rd tier candidates have all been far better.

Our top tier has all take a variant of "taking no options of the table". They had better make it damned clear that they don't want any military options on George W. Bush's table. Please contact all of our Pres candidates and urge them to talk out vehemently or bear the responsibility of being complicit in another war. And we need more than just decent statements but a bold challenge to this administration.

Any of them who responds in this fashion will get my vote and I hope yours
