keep it positive

Sat May 31, 2008 at 03:01:49 PM PDT

Enough with the Hillary bashing.

It's time for Obama supporters to start making positive messages about Senator Clinton-- about her service to the country as a Senator and as a First Lady, about the value of a robust primary campaign, about the historic nature of her candidacy.

The simple reason is that Obama will be the nominee, Clinton's supporters are showing signs of feeling bitter about it, and we want him to not have to worry about losing them to McCain in the general.

Bush v Gore: the sequel

The primary is over. We have our candidate. Why are we still debating this?

Senator Obama leads both in pledged delegates and in popular vote. Senator Clinton cannot catch up in either count. Even counting Florida and Michigan leaves her short if we count Michigan's "uncommitted" for Obama, as we should in that case.

Senator Clinton has argued that the superdelegates could help her make up for what she lacks in pledged delegates. Technically, she is correct. They could do that. But that simply cannot be allowed.

why not Kucinich

Wed Oct 31, 2007 at 12:08:10 PM PDT

I am a progressive. I am for single-payer healthcare, the immediate withdrawal of all US troops from Iraq, impeachment of George W. Bush and Dick Cheney, opting out of NAFTA and the WTO, and the creation of a Department of Peace. But I am not for Dennis Kucinich for president. No movement progressive should support Kucinich, because Kucinich does not support the movement.
