The last two presidential election cycles have generated a lot of heat (and precious little light) on how past military service relates to this year's presidential prospects.

Let me introduce y’all to a word I have never seen on Dkos: TRUCE.

I was born in southern Arizona, where the legends of  Apaches and US troops are abundant. But so was the word truce.  You can look up the dictionary meaning if you want, but my fellows and I just took it to mean "Wait a second".

A while back I noted a diary (rec'ed, I think) propounding that links to right-wing sources ("you know who they are") were verboten.  If I recall, the rationale was that, by definition, they all lie.  Or, if they weren't exactly lying, i.e. the facts were true, their purpose was nefarious, so unworthy of analysis.
