Hugely encouraging report about debate coverage

Tue Oct 12, 2004 at 05:05:18 PM PDT

I blundered into a surprising report on Fox yesterday about how broadcast news favored Kerry by a large margin over Bush.  They said cable favored Kerry also but they were more 'evenhanded'.

What a hoot! Was delighted to find it in USA Today.

RNC after Chris Matthews for telling the truth

Caught the link on Media Bistro.

Couldn't bring up the video but went to RNC site and read their so-called transcript with underlines et al.

We need to give Tweety some love. He comes out on the Today show and flat-out says Cheney lied and predictably they go after him hammer and tong.  No wonder the media has been so pliant, they always knew this would happen.  Let's show there's rewards for being a mensch, like ratings numbers. For MSNBC. For Olbermann, too.  He did a bang-up job of rating the debate and presciently saying if Cheney was a Liiiaaaarrr it would blow up in his face.

Perfect refutation of the "Kerry Weak on Terror" line.

Article in Washington Monthly lays it right out there. God, I wish some funding entity would get this out in ads (esp. RADIO) soon. His foresight dates back to the 80's

"As the presidential campaign enters its final stretch, Kerry's BCCI experience is important for two reasons. First, it reveals Kerry's foresight in fighting terrorism that is critical for any president in this age of asymmetrical threats.

Target MSNBC for Kerry 'tipping point'

Sat Aug 21, 2004 at 06:30:04 AM PDT

MSNBC is hungry for ratings.
MSNBC is currently, via Mathews and Olbermann exhibiting signs of being finally fed up with the VRWC-fed line of crap.
MSNBC plugs into the big boys' reportage on NBC, CNBC, at the very least they have to talk to each other.

I think the dKos blogosphere can have a maximum effect by targeting MSNBC hard and often, encouraging, elucidating, even doing some of their research for them.  For instance: Chris Mathews seemed genuinely surprised that the Bush campaign called McCain unpatriotic during 2000 primaries when he had Cleland on. And he looooves McCain. If he's smart he'll point out the pattern, that now they've done it three times to genuine heroes who show up Fearless Leader.
