Iron Man and Barack

Sun May 04, 2008 at 12:15:55 PM PDT

Last night I saw Iron Man (fantastic movie by the way) and during the film, Iron Man is faced with a dilemma that is in his best interests to lie and chooses to tell the truth.  I thought about that.  Almost all Superheros are like this.  Superman is not even capable of telling a lie.  So these characters are popular, because these Superhero characters have this capacity to do the right thing and tell the truth.  And many times it is not in the Superhero's best interests to do so.  So I thought about that and then the Presidential Candidates.  I decided that only Barack has this quality.  When Barack promises something I actually believe he is going to do it.  When I look at what he does, he keeps his promises.  Why do people hear what they want from other candidates and then ignore that they do?  That other Presidential Candidates fail to deliver over and over?  People make Superheros popular, because they want the qualities of these characters.  It is to bad that there is not more attention paid to Barack's ability to do what he says he will and to tell the truth, as it will actually help people in their daily lives with issues that matter.

Since Jan 2008, how did Clinton blow it so badly?

Wed Apr 23, 2008 at 10:49:26 AM PDT

Clinton has had the deck stacked so heavily in her favor at the beginning of this contest one has to ask how she has managed to run her campaign into the ditch so badly.  Clinton had Bill's name recognition.  Clinton had lots of money.  Clinton had lots of connections to political insiders.  The list goes on and on.  I am a strong believer in looking at what people actually do and focusing less on what they say.  If you look at this extremely strong position that Clinton started the Dem Primary process from and to what Clinton has done to end up where she is at now, how can you think that she would be a great President of the United States?  And, also taking into account what the next President will be inheriting a mess from Bush?  Now, while Clinton tries to somehow make everyone forget that she proclaimed that her nomination would be wrapped up by Super Tuesday, I have to ask why Clinton's inability do anything right and to stop Barack is not getting more attention.
