I was born the son of a poor Alabama sharecropper... Oh wait, that's George Jefferson's bio. I'm the guy next door. I am your father, your brother, your friend. I am all of us, and so are you.

The Ramblings Of A Lunatic

Wed Nov 07, 2007 at 08:47:48 PM PDT

I was reading the open thread when I stopped at this comment

http://www.dailykos.com/...

about Bush's interview with French and German television stations, and read through both transcripts.

They are definitely embarassing, and they may cause you to feel a slight amount of nausea, but they are interesting.

I've just gone ahead and included the entire text of the German interview as the body of the diary. It's easier that way, and George really does speak freely with the Germans.

The link for the French interview is at the bottom. Also quite enlightening, if such a statement could ever apply to anything out of his mouth....

Saudi Arabia Allowed The Terrorist Attacks of Sept. 11 To Happen

Thu Nov 01, 2007 at 10:07:08 PM PDT

Apparently, our diplomatic shortcomings, in the eyes of the Saudi Monarchy, condemned all of the people who died on September the 11th.
It was all the result of our inability to properly kiss the ass of Saudi officials so that they would share their information on the hijackers, and avert a tragedy.
If the statements of Prince Bandar are to be believed, it was just the fact that our intelligence apparatus failed to ask the correct questions, or perhaps they didn't say, pretty please!

If Only They Had Tased OJ Instead

Wed Sep 19, 2007 at 12:16:13 AM PDT

I've spent all day following the saga of a college student with a most electrifying stage presence, and the many comments directed towards his performance.

There were many thumbs up for the most officious and great reality TV style way that he was dealt with.

There were many thumbs down for the torture of an American citizen in full view of the entire world.

I'm one of those poor saps that shed tears and laments this as yet another sign of how far we've fallen from what we once were(or at least what I thought we were), and how close we are to approaching tyranny.

Yes, I know that is a bit drastic, but I did say I was a poor sap. There I said it again, so I've saved you the trouble twice already. Of course, if you must, feel free below.

This isn't about me though. This is about something I think we could all agree on.

What Does It Cost To Promote The Liberal Agenda?

Mon Sep 17, 2007 at 09:56:56 AM PDT

This is definitely a rant, so if the prospect of hearing me bitch doesn't seem particularly interesting to you, please choose something else to peruse and save me the guilt of feeling that I've wasted your time.

I am possibly the most liberal person that you could ever hope to meet. Seriously.
I have no qualms with whatever you choose to do or say, as long as no one gets hurt.

Senator Larry Craig Toe Tapping Bathroom Safety Set

Wed Aug 29, 2007 at 10:10:43 PM PDT

I noticed that at least three diaries have been published, that didn't have something to do with the good Senator.

I recognize a need here, so in the interest of giving the people what they want, I present my new Ebay listing.

George Bush Orders U.S. Troops To Kidnap Iranian Citizens

In a move sure to help inflame the rhetoric directed at military action against Iran, the United States has arrested 10 members of an Iranian government delegation.

Left Behind

Tue Aug 21, 2007 at 03:18:12 PM PDT

No this isn't about the end of the world series popular in la la land.

It's about some people in Iraq that may or may not be alive, trapped in rubble and waiting for help that isn't coming, and apparently never was.
The record for finding a survivor trapped in a collapse, due to an earthquake, is 14 days.

It's only been a week since truck bombings killed over three hundred and left over two hundred unaccounted for in Qahtaniya and Adnaniya. If anyone was actively engaged in trying to recover survivors from the carnage, there might still be time to save someone.
If anyone would just begin to look for survivors there might still be time.

As sad and horrifying as the truth is, they will be left to die.

What's In A Word?

Tue Jul 31, 2007 at 12:55:33 AM PDT

This is my first diary at Kos. I wrote it last Wednesday night and I'm posting it tonight after my probationary week expired. I drew my inspiration from an unlikely source, as you'll see when you scroll down.

I have checked to see if anyone posted a similar diary and was unable to find anything. At any rate it is purely me, and if anyone else wrote something that this resembles, I apologize beforehand.

There is an article in the Salt Lake Tribune that came out on Friday night and touches on my theme, but definitely not from the same angle.

http://www.sltrib.com/...

That article did point out to me an instance at the YouTube debate that I missed, and served only to increase my impatience for posting.

The following is my first addition to Daily Kos.
It was written only to make you think.
I of course hope that you think like me.
