Violence in Tibet

Fri Mar 14, 2008 at 03:19:02 PM PDT

Sorry for the short diary...just wanted to spread the news.

Protests in Tibet have turned violent, with two official reported deaths thus far as police has fired on crowds. Protests have been ongoing, lead by monks against Chinese rule, perhaps the largest such protest in decades.

The US and EU have urged the Chinese govt to show restraint. With the Olympics coming up, this is exactly the kind of bad PR China wants to avoid. Those who struggle for the freedom of Tibet are hoping to use the Olympics to bring awareness to their plight.

Zogby Poll: Whom would you NEVER vote for for President of the U.S.?

Wed Oct 24, 2007 at 11:27:39 AM PDT

Interesting poll by Zogby asking respondents whom they would absolutely not vote for in the general election, including candidates from both parties.

Not great news for the HRC camp. Interesting favorability for Huckabee (watch out for him). Richardson did best, and Obama did well also.

Full results below. I'll open the floor up to discussion now

What if Hillary is the candidate? (quick poll)

Wed Oct 03, 2007 at 03:25:36 PM PDT

It is well established that there are quite a few people here who do not support Hillary Clinton for President, or at least wouldn't list her as their first choice candidate. And I'll freely admit that I'm one of them.

We also cannot deny the fact that she is leading in several polls, is most definitely a top tier candidate, is the MSM's presumptive candidate, has raised tons of cash, picked up endorsements, etc.

So for those who dont particularly care for her candidacy, I'm sure this question has bounced around your head:
