One of my cats is sick. It has a huge swelling on the side of its head that is now about the size of a golf ball. It can't see out of one eye. I am almost positive that it is just an abscess from a fight with a local stray,(mostly because cancer doesn't grow that fast) but the vet said it would cost us $3,000 to have it drained, not counting the cost of meds. I can't afford that. heck, I can't afford anywhere near that. Right now, all i can do is hope she gets better on her own.

Thats were you guys come in. Kossaks are by and far the most varied and knowledgeable group of people that i have seen, so I humbly ask you this.

Does anyone know a discount vet, or a clinic for animals on Long Island, or anywhere in the tristate area? Or can any Veterinarian kossaks give some advice?

any advice, veterinary or just from experience with cats, would be unbelievably helpful.
