Obama's challenge to John McCain
Thu Jul 31, 2008 at 09:05:04 AM PDT
So, I have been thinking a lot about what Obama's response should be to John McCain. As tempting as it is to simply say "Fuck it, we are going negative and that's final." I think we would be alienating a good segment of the population that believes in Obama simply for the fact that they don't want a negative campaign. So, I kinda drafted this speech of sorts that is just a suggestion to the Obama campaign. Its no where near the quality that Obama's speeches are, but it hits all the main points that I would like to see addressed. I know his speeches have kinda become the "thing" to do when the going gets tight, but I think this could also work as something he could say at a news conference, or even on Larry King. Just a suggestion. If you have any of your own, I certainly wouldn't mind hearing them.
If HRC Passes Obama in the Popular Vote, what happens?

I really just want to run through all the scenarios of what might occur, should Puerto Rico put Hillary over the top on Sunday.
What have YOU done to influence an American political party lately? Updated: Thank you
Wed Mar 26, 2008 at 11:36:07 PM PDT
So I am doing a paper for my undergrad Polisci Class on Political parties. I chose to do it on the influence that blogs have on the parties. I feel that it is still incomplete, and I thought who better to get a more complete view of the role that blogs play than from none other than my fellow bloggers. So I invite you to critique, inspect and tear it apart. If I have missed anything major, please let me know. I have not included the citations in this particular post, but rest assured, they exist. I do not plagiarize. Thank you very much!
The case for Obama that has nothing to do with "hope"
Sun Jan 06, 2008 at 02:18:33 PM PDT
This diary is mainly a response to BenGoshi who seems to be under the impression that we Obama supporters are 20 miles wide, and only a centimeter deep. He believes that Obama’s message of Hope is the only leg he has to stand on, and that when it comes to make an argument of substance in favor of Obama, there simply isn’t one. Well, I am going to do my best to lay those accusations to rest today, and I will do it by focusing on the issues that might not be as popular or sexy as most of the ones which pervade the ongoing discussions here at DailyKos. Keep in mind that I chose these issues with their relative importance to me, so they might not be things the general populace find very interesting.
OBama and the new dichotomy of the 2008 campaign
Fri Jan 04, 2008 at 06:39:31 PM PDT
Looking at the future of the race to be the most powerful person on Earth, it is clear that that the way the media, and the blogosphere have defined the dichotomy of the 2008 campaign is very inaccurate. We are not fighting the same battles as before. This is not about race, gender or class. It is about young vs. old. My generation, vs. my parents' generation.
Why I hate gay people (Updated)
Sat Dec 15, 2007 at 04:02:29 PM PDT
Interesting title, no? Just read the blog before posting a comment. I'm not a bigot as most would probably be lead to believe by the title. This is more of a critique on some of the things about the gay movement that need to be tweaked. I actually got the inspiration to do this from an Onion article. This was originally going to be a column in my local paper, so forgive me if it doesn't precisely hit the targeted audience here at DailyKos.
Own a nice car? Come and rape the Earth with us

Reconciling my love for cars and my love for the environment is very hard. But after reading Autoweek today, I think the choice became far too clear.
