Yet Another Bad Poll for Bush(Elon University)

Fri Mar 03, 2006 at 06:10:23 PM PDT

I just came across a poll done by Elon University that gave Bush a 43% approval rating in the Southeast states. Check it out: [http://www.elon.edu/...]
The Southeast is defined as Virginia, N. Carolina, S. Carolina, Florida and Georgia. The poll also has a low margin of error at 2.8% and covers many areas about Congressional preference and support fot the Iraq War. Highlights are below.

VA Gov: Roanoke College Poll shows Kaine with 8 Point Lead

Tue Nov 01, 2005 at 07:51:18 PM PDT

I get regular emails from the the Kaine campaign and I saw one with a new poll showing him with an 8 point lead. What's weird is the email had no link to the poll and I can't see it on the Richmond Times-Dispatch website or the Roanoke Times website. If this poll is legit, it's very good news. Also bad Bush approval #'s in Virginia. Excerpts are below

CNN Poll: Bush Would Lose Election if Held Today

Tue Oct 25, 2005 at 06:13:51 PM PDT

I just came across an article on CNN.com that Bush would lose his election if held today. This, of course, oversimplifies the election process as the Democrat is generic. It also doesn't factor in other variables like swift boating that would surely bring down the vote totals of any Dem who ran. Too bad this is a moot point but it's still nice to know. I'd like to see a Bush vs. Kerry poll. We're coming up on the anniversary of that. Also, there's good numbers for Dems on the issues. Dem numbers on Iraq handling were interesting. article here.

Some Words of Inspiration

Thu Nov 04, 2004 at 04:08:38 PM PDT

Since about 58 million "Americans" decided to reward Bush's lying and moral bankruptcy with another term, I've been feeling depressed since like all of us. I thought I would post the lyrics to a song by Quincy Jones called "Tommorow a Better You a Better Me" that seem suitable. I encourage anyone who wants to hear it to download it if possible. Sorry if it sounds too sappy. But Enjoy.  :-)

Got Polled today by CBS/MTV

Fri Sep 10, 2004 at 02:57:09 PM PDT

the poll asked the standard questions like is the country on right track/wrong track, do i approve of Chimp Bizkit's job performance, who do i support of prez, do i have favorable opinions of Kerry and Bush. So, of course, i gave Bush bad marks in every category. But they also asked unconventional questions like which candidate would i like to be my dad (Edwards), who would i like as a teacher(Kerry). the poll was for 18-29 year olds so i'm assuming that's why they had those last questions. The poll will come out Sept. 20th.
It's also strange that CBS has polled me 3 times in just under a year. That can't be a random sample can it?

USA Today: Chimp Bizkit AWOL Unresolved

With all the Swift Boat crap, it was nice to see USA Today try to revive the story of Bush's guard "service." Link Below.

I just got polled by CBS news and BET

Sat Jul 10, 2004 at 03:54:51 PM PDT

the poll was mixed in that it asked questions about excersise, nutrition, Bush's job approval, and who i voted for in 2000. of course i gave Monkey Boy bad marks. CBS polled me last October, too. Has anyone else ever been polled? People are always saying that they never know anyone who's been surveyed.

Tax plan to help reduce the deficit

Fri Jul 09, 2004 at 09:14:20 AM PDT

Ok, i've had this plan in my head for a few years so i thought i would run it by you guys to see what ya'll think. I'm proposing a national sales tax of a nickel on anything sold retail costing more than $20. Keep in mind this is a flat nickel, not 5% of the cost of the product. For example, a $20,000 car would now be sold for $20,000.05. A $50 Playstation game would now be sold for $50.05. The tax is based on the number of units of products sold, not its value. Around 16 million new cars a year are sold in this country. Millions of videogames are sold a year. We all have loose change lying around the house we hardly ever use so I don't think a nickel will hurt.
The revenues could be used to pay off the national debt. I'm sure it's not politically feasible since there are people who hate taxes of any kind. But it's just a thought.

Kerry/Edwards as Batman/Robin (the Dynamic Duo)

Tue Jul 06, 2004 at 08:52:20 PM PDT

A friend of mine and I were messing around and talking about how funny it would be if someone made a poster or cartoon portraying Kerry and Edwards as the Dynamic Duo of the 1960's tv show. Complete with the silly "Pow!" and "Wham!" effects. Kerry of course being Batman and Edwards as Robin. Dick Cheney could be the Penguin. Bush as the Joker. Condoleeza Rice as Catwoman. Donald Rumsfeld as the Riddler, etc. Any artists or computer graphics talents in the house?

More Kerry Bumper Stickers in VA

Mon Jul 05, 2004 at 06:03:47 PM PDT

I was on a recent trip home from Washington, DC to Martinsville, Va which is a 5 hour drive and on the border of NC which means it's deep in Bush country. So i traveled from the very height of the state to the very bottom of it. Anyhoo, i saw only one car with a Bush/Cheney sticker and that was an old one that was partially scraped off. I saw at least 6 Kerry stickers. Seven if you include the one on my car. Is this a sign? I hope so!!
