This is a HUGE problem. Here's the Clinton's favorite new theme which they will proceed to beat to death.

Bill Clinton fired up a Tar Heel crowd here today by recounting some facts and figures from his wife's victory in Pennsylvania. He said that victory was made possible by "people like you," working-class types that he claimed the Obama camp is now writing off.

"Today her opponent's campaign strategist said, 'Well, we don't really need these working-class people to win, half the time they vote for Republicans anyways,'" he said, while speaking from a flatbed truck on a baseball field. "I will tell you something --  America needs you to win and therefore Hillary wants your support and I hope you will help her in this primary in North Carolina."

Clinton apparently was referring to comments by Obama strategist David Axelrod, who told NPR today that the "white working class has gone to the Republican nominee for many elections, going back even to the Clinton years," and that the Democratic candidates "haven't solely relied on the demographic."

Well, it worked. Seems the debate did it's job knocking him down a notch. (Why is this reminding me of the "Dean Scream".

Gallup Poll Daily tracking shows that Hillary Clinton now receives 46% of the support of Democrats nationally, compared to 45% for Barack Obama, marking the first time Obama has not led in Gallup's daily tracking since March 18-20.

I just saw this at the CNN blog under the story Clinton: 'Not relevant' last time I went to church, fired gun.

   Clinton described the furor surrounding Obama’s remarks as "about how people look at the Democratic Party and the Democratic Party leadership."

   "We have been working very hard to make it clear that we have millions of Democrats who are church going and gun-owning," she said. "And we are tired of having Republicans, or frankly our own Democrats, give any ammunition to Republicans because what happens then is Republicans take advantage of the situation."
