Dear First Time Iowa Caucus Goers,

As you all know , January 3rd is a very important day. Yes, the whole country will be all over you on Thursday , January 3rd 2008. This is it. This is the day when the 2008 Primaries get started. Sure, the candidates have been campaigning all year, but this is it. This is the finals, if you will. I just want to remind you about two important things. If you remember these two important things, you should have no problems.

1.) KNOW WHERE YOU NEED TO BE !

2.) BE THERE ON TIME !

According to this brand new CBS South Carolina poll , Barack Obama has not only taken the lead, he has swept up the African American vote and now enjoys 52% support from this very important demographic compared to Hillary's 27%. Black women support Barack Obama 2 to 1 over Hillary Clinton. John Edwards enjoys 2% of the African American vote in his home state despite being a son of the South.

I really hate it that whenever there's a poll out showing other candidates beating all the Republicans in a Match Up, there's ten to fifteen diaries with titles suggesting that poll is undeniable proof that the candidate in question is the ONLY choice for the Democratic Party because of that one poll.

So, when I saw a poll about Barack Obama beating all the Republicans, I hesitated to post it because I did not want to look as though I was rubbing it in everyones faces. I know that polls alone do not determine that one is more electable than the others and that there are other factions involved. Like , you know , campaigning , organizing , and informing voters. But I promise you that this Diary is not about me sticking out my tongue and saying "Ha Ha. So much for your Black man can't win argument"

This recent Zogby poll is showing that Barack Obama is currently, the only Democrat beating top Republicans. So, I am going to post it. Not to argue that he is THE only choice , although I believe he is the BEST and most TRUSTWORTHY choice, but I am posting to show that Barack Obama is a very serious contender who could win in a general election. Here's what I gather from this poll:

Bill Clinton has recently stated that under his wifes administration , he and another former President , George H. Bush would travel the world and send the message that America is back in business.

I think Bill Clinton is right. He has a unique and specific quality that would make him perfect for the job.

I may be young , in my early thirties , but I'm not exactly wearing floating devices and kicking around in the kiddie pool of Politics either. For the past ten or fifteen years, I have been interested or involved in the political process long enough to notice a pattern of weakness within the Democratic electorate. From helping my mother set up and operate voting booths in our local town as a teenager , to working with a political polling firm and conducting opposition research for campaigns today, I am beginning to understand why the general public keeps falling for the meme that the Democratic Party is the Party of "WUSSIES".

I looked to see if this had already been posted and I saw nothing indicating that it had. If I am mistaken and it is pointed out to me that this has already been posted, I will be happy to remove this Diary.

I mean bloggers are one thing , but this is the Deputy Campaign Manager for crying out loud.

Mitt Romney gave a speech recently, where he re-affirmed his belief in the Mormon Faith and stated that he will adhere to it's teaching. He also stated that it was the Religion of his fathers and that he would honor and stay faithful to it. As an African Cherokee Freedmen, my questions to Mitt Romney , who is a Religious Republican who believes in injecting their faith into their governing, are these.

Mitt, you say that you will adhere to the teachings of your faith and that of your fathers. Part of that includes the teachings of the founder of your faith , none other than Joseph Smith. Below , are excepts of the very teachings and words of Joseph Smith and the Prophets of the Mormon Faith including Brigham Young. My question to you is what role will the Mormon Teachings in the following two You Tube videos , play in your agenda should you become President of the United States of America and do you see anything in these teachings that would pose a conflict between these teachings and the Laws of United States Constitution ? If you do. Please tell me which you will honor. These Teachings ? Or, the United States Constitution ( Amendments and All )

I am a 33 year old African American woman.

I am writing this diary because , as an African American, I have a right to have just as much input, if not more, on issues and statements that are directly aimed at the Black community as those who are not African American. Too many times, when something like this comes up, those who are not African American began , consciously or subconsciously , telling the Black Community how we should think and respond to something that has nothing at all to do with them. So, I am putting in my input first and I am doing it as an African American. I do not speak on behalf of the entire Black Community as you will see later in this diary. This is just my opinion based on my personal experiences as an African American. I will welcome mostly all comments.

Michelle Obama was recently interviewed on MSNBC and asked about her husbands poll numbers with specific regards to African Americans. Here was her response.

It started in the Blosophere. It got picked up by News website Blogs. It's being reported by the Mainstream Media and now it's hit the Political Talk Shows. What is it?

Camp Clinton is in trouble. BIG Trouble.

So, how does Camp Clinton fight back? How do they keep the attention off of Hillary's dramatic dip in the polls after her ridiculous response as to why she lost the last Democratic debate to Barack Obama and John Edwards? How do they explain the sudden absence of all those "She's Inevitable" polls that have been posted on all the blogs by supporters on a daily, if not hourly basis without admitting why she's dipping ? How do they sing her praises on positions that they themselves are still unclear on without getting an instant rebuttal to her position on policies by Obama and Edwards supporters?

This recent pathetic attempt at spreading propaganda is so obvious and so transparent , that one would literally have to be impaired in their ability to comprehend if they buy into this. Are we a sovereign nation or cast members in the latest T.V. Reality Show ?

For the last few days , the Media has been "advertising" a "Terror Tape"  that's on it's way  from Osama Bin Laden like it's a new T.V Show on Fox. This monster  was responsible for the murder of our American citizens on 911 and is now being touted as some kind of celebrity politician giving a speech. Now, some may contend that what I am about to address is none other than conspiracy theory rantings. I reject that in advance. This is so obvious that it needs no conspiracy theory to accompany it.

I'm not understanding why this doesn't seem to be an issue , but it is. It's a very serious issue. Over 15,000 were polled and here are the results;

Democrats 35.9 %

Independents or  Non 32.9 %

Republicans 31.3 %

Our party has dropped from 38 % to 35.9 % in the last month. While I am thrilled as pie at the fact that we still have few more Democrats than Republicans , this is still a disturbing trend for our party and I don't get why people are not paying attention. It would be great and worth celebrating , if we were not consistently dropping every month. When you factor in the 4.6% MOE , you come up with a pretty disturbing scenario. One , if not taken seriously, not only threatens our parties chances in 2008 , but our party's future as well.
