I’m sitting here watching the boob-tube in Columbus, Ohio when I see what I think is a promo for an upcoming show on MSNBC.  The promo has the raspy voice used in movie trailers or other dramatic shows.  It talks about a figure in the bible that is unclear and undefined.  That has scholars confused for years.  At this time I’m still thinking this show is about the Holy Grail or something else like that and I’m kinda interested to find out when the show is on so I can DVR it.

Radio Lies

Mon Mar 31, 2008 at 06:08:25 AM PDT

This is a letter I wrote to our local radio personality.  Dirk Thompson.  He's a tool.  When I turned the radio on, he was railing about how much Clinton and Obama lie.  His main point was about Obama's pastor and how Obama must be lying when he said he didn't hear the hateful remarks.  He was calling Hillary a liar over the Bosnia story.  While I was on hold he was calling everyone who is liberal a liar and a hatemonger.  Then one of his callers said "i can't wait for someone to assisinate Barak Obama".  To his credit.  Dirk hung up on him, I thought it was telling though.  Anyhow, I called in to see if he would add Bush, Cheney, Rumsfeld and Powell to his list of liars, as they lied us into war.  I got hung up on and called a liar while I was off the air.   So I called back and basically the same thing happened.  I wrote him this letter.  Enjoy.  And happy Monday!!

Still Scared??

Tue Mar 18, 2008 at 08:15:25 AM PDT

This diary is to all of us whites who may be scared or uneasy about the sermons of Dr. Jeremiah Wright and his association with Barack Obama.  It is based on a bit of research on him and others in the religious community.  As a white man in America, I have nothing but respect for this man and his struggles, I hope as we all get to know him and his message, we will all feel the same way.  His words, while on the surface are reprehensible, I believe they can be used as catalyst for improvement in race relations across this country.

I saw Clinton get Converted

Fri Feb 01, 2008 at 09:47:12 AM PDT

Did anyone else see the Senator Clinton get converted tonight?  There were times where you could see that she was a member of the Obama congregation, nodding her head in agreement with every statement he delivered.  She fought back as best she could, even demanding that she knew the right answer at one point.  In the end though, with the crowd allowed to voice their appreciation, she appeared to be as convinced as the rest of us.

Clinton's Put Power above Country

Tue Jan 22, 2008 at 07:17:54 AM PDT

Bill Clinton owes his political life to Hillary Clinton.  Think about it.  She stood strong behind her husband in a time where he was proven to be unfaithful and dishonest. Had she gone another route and played the victim, and taken the opportunity to tell the press how disgraced she was by the actions of her husband, the whole country’s impression of President Clinton would have changed.

We All Lost Last Night

Wed Jan 16, 2008 at 11:46:58 AM PDT

I realize this is a competition for the Democratic nomination, but I am very disappointed in the three candidates in the debate last night.  They had an opportunity express what democracy is all about and why it is the best form of government we have these days and they didn’t.

I Love Rove

Sun Jan 13, 2008 at 06:02:19 PM PDT

Did Karl Rove say that Barack Obama is lazy?  Wow, how long was Bush’s first vacation? the one during 9/11?  Anyhow, I’d love to hear more Karl Rove each and every day.  As far as I’m concerned he oughtta keep chirping throughout this entire campaign.

Great Debate (or it sucked)

Thu Nov 29, 2007 at 07:09:46 AM PDT

Rudy got booed in the first ten minutes.  This might be the funniest thing I’ve ever seen.  Mitt and Rudy slapping at each other over the issue of sanctuary cities and mansions.  The crowd finally boos Rudy when he won’t STFU and let the debate continue.  He repeats the same line about Romney over three times in two minutes.  Now The Actor gets into the act.  He probably had his best day of the campaign so far today with the news on Rudy’s taxing the public  for his sexy-time.  We’ll see if it wakes him up for the debate.  So far it doesn’t sound like it.

Drudge

Wed Nov 21, 2007 at 03:17:15 PM PDT

I love to check out Drudge to see what's up in the world of bullshit news.  So today I go there to see what's going on and I see that Huckabee has passed Romney which isn't a big deal.  But I'm expecting to see a nice headline about Obama's move on Hillary.  Of course there is none.  Why?

Old Report of Fox Debate

Tue Nov 20, 2007 at 09:56:26 AM PDT

I'm sitting here watching the Rupublican debate on Faux News and I must say that these candidates are idiots. I just heard Mitt Romney say that the United States must move to a support role in Iraq from a posture of strength not out of a posture of bowing to the Democrats. What on earth does that mean?!?!?! We won't come up with a plan for Iraq, we just can't leave because that's what the Democrats want? That might be the single stupidest thing I've ever heard.

Lessons from Vegas

Fri Nov 16, 2007 at 02:33:25 PM PDT

I'm sitting down to finally watch this thing.  Personally I was hoping that CNN would never host a debate.  I never really liked them.  Wolfe is laying down the law right now.  He seems to be a tough guy.

Enough play by play, but I don't get why they ask questions about the candidates and their criticisms of each other.  It's like the Wolfe is saying "Senator Obama, you said this about Senator Clinton,......, would you like to say it to her face this tme?"

What a dumb way to get to LEARN anything about how our government works.

remebering 9/11

Tue Sep 18, 2007 at 07:06:13 AM PDT

This is in repsonse to a letter in my local newspaper about why this girls school did not 'remeber' 9/11.

In response to Rachel Lynne Smith's letter wondering why the tragedies of 9/11 weren't mentioned at her school on the day's anniversary.  While I have no affiliation with Gahanna schools and have no idea as to what they choose to 'remember' and what they don't.  I can safely say that the horrific events of 9/11 have not changed anything about the attitude or ambitions of the people of this country.

Why Obama over Clinton

Wed Aug 29, 2007 at 10:16:21 AM PDT

Hillary Clinton has a lot of Washington experience.  There is no argument there.  She has done some wonderful things in her career and has a  great resume.  Unfortunately there is a certain part of her campaign that doesn't sit well with me.

President Bush Goes to Vietnam

Sun Aug 26, 2007 at 04:56:19 PM PDT

i've been wanting to write for a while now, but not had the time, nor the muse.  I was able to watch most of President Bush's speech this past week, it provided the muse I needed.
