Like so many others here, I've been in a very foul mood over the latest capitulation by the Bush Dog Dems to the most despised, unpopular President in living memory.

So I offer one way to hit back at those who subvert, rape and undermine our Constitution at every possible opportunity.

And if there are other ideas to hit back at these swine, please add them to the mix.

He's on a local talk show here in El Paso, and I pushed the "no telecom immunity" point.

Here was his reply.

I don't see how this "Remembrance" does anything but give desperately-needed political cover to the same warmongers still supporting this disastrous Iraq occupation.

When you've got a despised, vicious and vile adversary cornered, why on earth extend an olive branch in the hopes you won't get burned for your naive efforts?

First off, I'm dead set against any rewarding of clear, lawbreaking, which is exactly what immunity does for these telecoms

And I'm also desirous to see W get at least one veto threat rammed back down his throat

There's a way to offer telecom immunity with conditions so odious Bush Jr will veto it as soon as it reaches his desk

And that's how to paint Rat Bastard Bush Jr into a corner

And fight like All Holy Hell, like the Texas Senate Dems did during the DeLay engineered "redistricting", as doing everything to derail telecom immunity is actually a very easy issue to throw back at the knuckle-draggers who gripe & moan-about how burdensome playing by the rules the Constitution sets up-have become when supposedly battling "terrorists"

Timing is everything, and with the rant that follows, this is a subject that's bugged me ever since the NRA decided to mouth off about guns being confiscated in the aftermath of Katrina

The NRA likes to portray itself as an organization that helps protect us against an overzealous state intent on trampling the 2nd Amendment under jackboots galore, springing to fight at the first provocation

But, as with all the NRA's most cherished myths, reality paints a very different picture from what the organization pushes

Finally, some good tidings that uphold the rights of the sick

She wasn't mentioned in this article, but Nataline Sarkisyan couldn't have been far from the minds of the Court's justices in this case

And if it's bad for the health-insurance industry, it's good for consumers

Caving in to the most unpopular, reviled President in US history on a regular basis is infuriating enough, but refusing to let the GOP suffer politically for W's intransigence is about as self-defeating a Democratic political strategy as one can imagine

Bravo Speaker Pelosi and Majority Leader Reid, very clever way of holding W accountable, by giving Bush Jr everything he wants while simultaneously angering your already riled liberal/progressive bloc even further

Funny, I thought the Dems were going to stand up to Bush Jr, or at the very least make him pay heavy prices for all the BS and damage he's inflicted on our society and Constitution from the first day he slithered into office via unelected activist judges

But time after time, on the big issues of funding the Iraq occupation, warrantless spying, torture and gutting Habeas Corpus-by letting the Mukasey AG nomination advance-the Dems have shown they're FAR more afraid of easily-debunked rhetoric coming from the most unpopular President in US history than they are from all those who voted for them in November 2006

So, once again, instead of doing everything possible to attack, HARD, this rat bastard of a President and his GOP lackeys, especially with the latest NIE about how Iran's nuclear program has been dormant since 2003, the Dem leadership decides to give W yet another blank check for Iraq

Goddamn It, this is getting really old, frustrating and tiresome

I thought the Democratic leadership was going to hold W accountable for the misery and damage him and his vile supporters and political operatives

And yet, here we go again, Nancy Pelosi is going to hold W's feet to the righteous fire by trashing our Constitution

Ah, the joys of watching ultra-W Lackeys like Ari Fleischer get smacked around by a hard rightie like Larry Klayman, formerly of the Clinton-tormenting Judicial Watch

Klayman gets kudos though, for living up to his Clinton-bashing ideals by also going after Cheney's Energy Task Force with oil industry executives when W first slithered into office via unelected, activist judges

Also turns out that Klayman registered the name "Freedom's Watch" back in 2004, but there's the rub, and an extra layer of Ironic Schadenfreude as well, more after the break
