Two white southern Christian men discuss Rev. Wright

Thu May 01, 2008 at 06:00:23 AM PDT

I have a little ritual.  On days like today, which is going to be a long day at work, I like to start things out with a nice, leisurely breakfast at a local cafe.  I take a good book with me and load up on eggs, fruit, toast and coffee.  Rather than making a long day longer, I find that it puts me in a good mood and charges my batteries, setting me up for a productive day.

Invariably, there is another type of person, or group of persons, that enjoy these morning outings: middle aged men who meet for prayer breakfasts.  There always seems to be at least a couple in close proximity.  I try not to eavesdrop, but usually can't help hearing the conversation.  Today, I overheard, "If I run for President, will you sabotage my campaign, as my Pastor?"   More after the break.

An Obama Supporter on Why I Loves Me Some Clinton

I really like Senator Clinton.  I think she would make a terrific President.  I also like her husband, President Clinton, and not that it matters but Chelsea seems like a very cool person as well.

Why am I busting out with the Clinton love, especially a self proclaimed Obama supporter, as stated in the title?  I just think things are getting a little bit rank around here lately, and I needed a breath of fresh air.

Romney really does have no shame

This isn't exactly earth shattering news, but I couldn't let it pass without comment.   Turns out, Mitt Romney is a big ol' hypocrite.

Here's the money quote from last night's acceptance speech:

I take my inspiration from Ronald Reagan and George Herbert Walker Bush...
