I saw The Dark Knight a few hours ago with my wife and brother.  

Go and watch this film.  You are here reading and posting at Daily Kos and this movie is for you.

You will see it with a full crowd if you see it this weekend.  Cause this film is breaking records at the box office already and it hasn't been a whole day.  Near perfect word of mouth and reviews do that.

Why should you see The Dark Knight?

Because you want to be there for THE film that FINALLY gets the country to listen to what went wrong after 9/11.

You can thank the director and writer and stars of the film for using a super hero movie to finally say what needed to be said but in a way that people will listen.

And thank Heath Ledger... when I read that he loathes super hero movies... and he said this was something different... I didn't understand why the guy who played in Brokeback Mountain was playing a super hero villian... now I understand.

This film is gigantic already... thank God... cause it will reach people... just a small seed, but it will be there.

I never thought I'd say that a super hero movie would have a real affect... but... if that is what it takes to get a nation of children to think... so be it.
