Hillary Stealing Martian Delegates ***Developing***

Tue Feb 19, 2008 at 01:17:44 PM PDT

Unattributed and unconfirmed reports on WeHateLibs.com prove that Hillary Clinton has a plan to steal the nomination by making Mars our 51st state. They quote an unnamed "senior campaign guy" as saying, "Hillary has a natural advantage with the alien vote, after all, conservatives compare her to The Wicked Wish of the West whose green complexion matches theirs. Especially Rush, whose radio show is number 2 in that market right after Zontar the Magnificent."

The report goes on to say that in a bizarre Byzantine move Senator Clinton will invite the Martian’s fleet of UFOs to land in Denver during the convention, claiming "coincidence." Some of these, especially the Death Stars, will be big enough to qualify for statehood, which her surrogates and shills will use to argue that they should be seated at the convention. Committee members who don’t agree will be replaced by pods.

An even-more-unnamed spokesman for the Obama campaign registered a strong protest. "Everyone knows men are from Mars and women from Venus, which proves how out of touch the Clinton campaign is." The spokesman also noted that many flying saucers are actually from the hollow earth and their drivers, "...are more interested in cattle mutilation and anal probing than politics."

Why I Support Obama and Defend Clinton

Sat Feb 16, 2008 at 09:44:34 AM PDT

Senator Obama can win the Presidential election, probably decisively, but that’s not why I support him. Senator Clinton can win too.

I don’t only want a President, I want progressive action. A progressive agenda would come up against the same noise machine that derailed health care reform in 1993. The President would have to get public opinion solidly behind such an agenda. When it comes to inspiration, Senator Obama beats Senator Clinton hands down. It would also be easier to change the power structure of the Democratic Party with a President Obama, something the disappointing performance in Congress mandates. That is why I support Senator Obama.

Because I support Senator Obama, I also defend Senator Clinton. More below.

Hillary is a Witch?

You get a lot of spurious charges during a campaign, but this one at Free Republic takes the cake.

It seems that Senator Clinton somehow got a flag with upsidedown stars at her ralley (or someone was an expert at both hacking and Photoshop) which means that she worships Satan because the stars look like a goat's head. Which to be honest is a more coherant argument than many posted at Free Republic.

One wonders what they think of the Congressional Medal of Honor...

Climate Change Conspiracy Nuts

Sat Dec 22, 2007 at 10:24:22 PM PDT

Writing about certain conspiracy theories is banned here, and rightly so, their advocates soon degrade open forums. However, there’s one whacko conspiracy theory that doesn’t need plants in Bill Maher’s audience to be heard, the one about "global warming" being a "hoax."

This particular flight of fancy starts with an evil cabal who wants to hobble America’s economic might by reducing her carbon emissions and ends with scientific deceit. Sound more than a little paranoid and tinfoil hat? The only difference is unlike other conspiracy theories its spokesmen aren’t little-known gadflies with a website but include political leaders and members of congress. Senator Inhofe regularly spouts off about this "hoax scenario."

What America needs is a bold plan to free ourselves from fossil fuels, but the muddied waters caused by the "hoax" advocates would throttle such a call to action. We don’t have the luxury of "playing nice" on this one, the time for clarity is now. Anyone who pushes the idea that the consensus on man-made climate change is somehow a "hoax" should be exposed for what they are. If they call it a "hoax" let them try and explain it without looking like fools. They would do the same to us if we started raving about Nazi flying saucers from the hollow earth.
