Desperately Seeking YearlyKos Room Share (others welcome to post)
Thu Jul 19, 2007 at 11:48:27 AM PDT
I know that the ykos group can't officially organize a room share board. While I've found that there are comments here and there requesting shares, there doesn't seem to be any central place for us to go to find shares. So, please let us know if you have a room to share.
I'm a female seeking a female with a smoke-free room in one of the 3 official ykos hotels (already sold out)or other great location. I'm very easy going and will spend most of my time at the convention. I'm into everything political plus environment and animal protection.
Beyond the fact that I really desperate to find a room, I think its much more fun to share the experience with a like-minded lady.
Others, please post your needs here. If there is a need, I'll put together an unofficial room share board (like last year).
Click my username for email or post room options in comments.
Thanks!
Obama's "Dirty Little Secret" Bill Gets MoveOn's Wrath
Wed Jun 06, 2007 at 05:41:28 PM PDT
Today, Moveon.org initiated a campaign by sending a letter entitled, "Turning every Prius into a Hummer," to its multi-million person community in opposition to the Coal-to-Liquid Fuel Energy Act of 2007 S 154 IS(BILLION$ of corporate welfare to build coal processing plants over 25 years).
Moveon.org does not take a direct hit at Obama by name, but trashes the bill that he is co-sponsoring. Perhaps they are too polite </snark>, but I'm not. Obama's just too smart to believe that this bill is good for America. So, I'm naming names and Obama's on the top of the list.
Lest you believe that Obama is an innocent bystander on this earth trashing piece of legislation, you should know that he is not only the lead co-sponsor, but started and co-leads the Senate Coal-to-Liquid Fuels Caucus!(pdf).
See what all the commotion is about on the flip.

UPDATE from Ellicatt:
This week's rebroadcasting is different than what the live broadcast schedule was. Please see Ellicatt's diary (link in comments) from yesterday for this week's schedule. The segments this week start at 4:00 pm eastern and with the exception of tomorrow's broadcast, they are just running one segment per day.
Tue Jul 04, 2006 at 05:40:30 PM PDT
***
It starts with the CIA Leak Investigation Panel with Ambassador Joseph Wilson, Dan Froomkin, Jane Hamsher, Larry C. Johnson, Christy Hardin Smith, Marcy Wheeler, and Murray Waas.
It continues for 4 hours and the exact panels covered is not known. On the flip, you'll find the full conference schedule from www.yearlykos.com.
Now stop reading and start watching! It's very inspirational even if as a repeat. For those attending YearlyKos, it allows you to see great panels that may have overlapped with the programs you attended.
Enjoy and spread the word!
