Blitzer: You are a Racist if you don't Vote Obama

Fri Jan 11, 2008 at 04:02:07 PM PDT

On CNN today, Donna Brazile hinted that it might be better to discuss where
our candidates stand on the issues.

Blitzer had just insulted the citizens of New Hampshire who voted
for Clinton by implying that they are racist.

He went on to ask if Bill Clinton was a racist for some garbled
statement about Obama telling fairy tales.  It was impossible to know
what Blitzer or Clinton were getting at.

It's the Salem Witch Trials 08, the hounds are baying and the racist hunt is on.
If you aren't voting for Obama, there is always that possibility . . .

Jon Stewart Skewers Tweety

Thu Jan 10, 2008 at 06:06:20 PM PDT

January 9 will go down as the day of the funniest Daily Show in Daily Show history.
Put on rubber pants before watching.  Or sit on a towel.

A highlight was a clip of Tweety, anticipating Obama's New Hampshire
win, as he regaled  Olbermann with a long winded analogy comparing Hillary's demise
to a saga in Lawrence of Arabia.

It's toward the middle of the clip called NEW HAMPSHIRE PUNDITRY:

But don't miss the Hi-Tech News Coverage clip showcasing the magic of CNN technology.

By Moment of Zen (equally great) your couch will be thankful that you heeded the
advice in the first paragraph.

The Swiftboating of Clinton

Tue Jan 08, 2008 at 06:02:42 AM PDT

I would like to know why the second this diary was published, a "No"
instantly appeared on the poll.

Anybody under the illusion that Rove is under a palm tree in Tahiti sipping on a Purple Gecko?

My neighbor is a college professor.  He never liked Hillary Clinton. After the debate on Saturday he changed his mind.  He said she not only spoke well, but she won the debate.  He said that she came through with concrete specifics over vague generalities.  And that she punched holes in the resumes put forth by Obama and Edwards.  He was impressed at how she ended on an upbeat conciliatory note.  He was surprised that her outstanding performance has not been acknowledged anywhere.  The NYT and msm only focused on a brief angry retort as she was attacked from all sides.  He was also surprised that it was never pointed out that Obama was the weakest at the debate.
Now, for one second let's digress.

NYT: Edwards is a Liar

Mon Jan 07, 2008 at 05:37:55 AM PDT

I was an Edwards supporter until the MSNBC debate.
His joining in with Tweety and Russert to go for Clinton's
jugular was a turn-off.  He no longer seemed like
an independent thinker, but a gang banger who smelled
blood and was joining in the group bash.
It wasn't debate.  He was clearly trying to kill her off.

My support and respect stopped abruptly, and I started
giving Clinton a closer look.  I am now convinced that
she is the strongest candidate of the three.

It surprises me that she was not given credit by the media
for a fine debate performance on Saturday.

You MUST see this CNN special "Campaign Killers"

Tue Jan 01, 2008 at 04:49:26 PM PDT

This is one of the most important TV docs ever aired.
Every school should make sure that every child sees this.
FINALLY a tool to show the gullible public just what is
going on in television politics.  And how democrats are
mostly political lemmings.

They cover the Dukakis debacle, the Texas slezoids
behind the Bill Clinton and Switboat attacks and how they're
already going after Hillary, Moveon et al.
How dems assume that the public can see through
deceptive propaganda, and respond with too little too late.

It has been airing since late November.  If this has been
covered, apologies.

I'm signing off to see the rest.

This is fantastic work, CNN.  A great public service.

Kudos to PBS

Thu Dec 13, 2007 at 02:15:58 PM PDT

The last MSNBC debate was the meanest and ugliest in TV history.
The hosts made it all about themselves and upping their ratings, as they formed
a circle jerk taking turns bullying a candidate.
Followed by blasts from high-power big mouth Tweety the Crud continuing
his personal vendetta against that candidate.

What a hammy narcissistic bunch.
The smell of cigar smoke and methane gas still lingers after their little spectacle.

What a pleasure to watch today's PBS debate.
