Congratulations, Mr. President & Mr. Secretary!

Thu Dec 21, 2006 at 12:07:40 PM PDT

Let's look at this article from AP:

U.S. Defense Secretary Robert Gates and the rest of the Bush administration may be undecided on whether to send more troops to Iraq. But several soldiers he met with at Camp Victory here on Thursday morning said extra forces would help.

"Sir I think we need to just keep doing what we're doing," Spc. Jason T. Green, with the 101st Military Intelligence Brigade Combat Team of the 1st Infantry Division, told Gates during a breakfast session with about 15 U.S. soldiers.

"I really think we need more troops here. With more presence on the ground, more troops might hold them off long enough to where we can get the Iraqi Army trained up."

You've probably been hearing news stories about how different conservative groups - the fiscal conservatives, the religious conservatives - are unenthusiastic about voting this year because of the course of the Bush administration.

NONE OF IT IS TRUE.

Humiliate them wherever they go!

What in the hell is going on at speeches given by Republicans lately?

The Republicans are NOT traitors. (UPDATED)

Fri Mar 31, 2006 at 10:14:32 AM PDT

The Republicans are a lot of things.  Certainly blindly obedient, and in love with their own authority and that of others.  Definitely preoccupied with manipulating the economy to favor large companies.

But worst of all, they are terrified of dissent.  They eviscerate those within their own ranks who do not tow the party line.  They will not come face to face with a disapproving public without an armed security force.

And they brand anyone who thinks differently than they do as a traitor.

Why is censure a good idea? - and my theory

OK, so we're all pretty well educated on the censure motion, and what the mechanics and theory are behind it.  But in this thread, you offer your theories as to why it may be a good idea.

If you think the censure motion is a bad idea, I recognize and appreciate your position, but put those comments in a different diary, OK?  I don't want to start a flamewar or anything.

Everyone calm down, rural precincts always come in first

I thought everyone figured this out already.  There are very few results coming in just yet, so take it easy and wait.  I know it's hard, but chill out.  The right-leaning outskirts are coming in first, and then the cities last, so there's a lot more to happen tonight.

Hillary apparently gets her way

...and will speak at the convention. For those of you following this, apparently a bunch of her sycophants whined to the DNC that she was not invited to speak, and now the DNC has reversed themselves.
