Updated:10,000 voters "purged" in Mississippi

Now that it looks like Mississippi is going to be in play for the Democratic nomination for a President, I shouldn't have been surprised to see this on the front page of our major newspaper, The Clarion-Ledger:
Purged voting rolls to be fixed
Pissed, yes. Surprised, no.
I am a poll worker here in Madison County, in Ms Sautermeister's District. I know her. But I don't know, or understand why she did this. In her capacity as an Election Commissioner, I know she is partially responsible for the integrity of the voter rolls, but the magnitude, and the timing, is stunning in its Federal legal ramifications.
