Is anything off bounds for freepers?

With a headline like Drudge has (detailing an Al Qaeda plot to assassinate a major U.S. or world figure), you may have optimistically hoped that the Free Republic would have stayed off the low road on the issue of assassinations.

You'd be wrong.

I wasn't surprised, but I was dissapointed with what I read: http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/f-news/1189125/posts

Have these people no standards?  Geeze, we can't stand Bush, Santorum, et al., but we wish them no harm...

Alexander switches parties

I saw this on Free Republic and the link I have seems to confirm it.  Rodnex Alexander of Louisiana has switches parties.

Even though he was conservative, his vote for Pelosi will be missed and our hill to climb is higher.

Sorry if this is a dupe.
