This is my first diary, so please be gentle...

My first thought on hearing that she was going to be here was "FINALLY!! And it's not during my work time!"

...Followed rather quickly by "When's Barack going to be here?" And then, upon hearing the time and location, "What the heck is the school going to do during that time?"

But as soon as it was possible to do so, I RSVP'd and began to anxiously await Wednesday morning.

And like the good future journalist I am I took a notebook so I could be sure to get an accurate recounting of the events.

...And then, once Michelle came out and began speaking, failed to write a single thought down.
