A call to action for all Kossacks in Pennsylvania

Mon Apr 21, 2008 at 01:41:13 PM PDT

This is not a time to be gleefully unawares. The Clintons are desperate. So desperate, in fact, that they will stop at nothing to win. This is a call for Pennsylvania voters to police their own election.

I was Youtubing a lil while ago, looking for the song mentioned in the diary title. Found an interesting clip...

Barack Obama: Grace Under Sniper Fire. (With Video!)

Thu Apr 17, 2008 at 12:53:51 PM PDT

As I finally clear my head of all the despicable things I just saw in the first presidential debate in over a month, it suddenly dawned on me that the next President of the United states just survived a full ambush.

Mayhill "PA is Bitter" Fowler Exposed

Sun Apr 13, 2008 at 01:00:36 PM PDT

Well, well, well.....

This is my first diary in about a week or so, I will keep it short but sweet. Today I happened on an intersting rebuttal to Mayhill Fowler, the "concern troll" who is exposed as a phony Obama supporter.

Check it....

The Democratic Party Peace Initiative

Wed Apr 02, 2008 at 12:33:32 PM PDT

NOTE: I edited the title to clarify that this diary is not about peace in the Middle East, its about peace in our party.

UPDATE: Angry Mouse just reminded me that we both agree that as a symbol of healing we should do away with the anti-candidate siggys. I actually earned mention in her diary for coming up with the idea. It may not be much to some, but it is a start.

OK, I have been marveling at the diary of one Angry Mouse today. She writes a very insightful diary about her switch from Clinton supporter to Obama. I recommend everyone read her diary as well as the one from Deoliver47 that inspired us both. While you're at it, read my take on the racial rift in America and a few suggestions on how to heal it here. I believe if we read these diaries we will be able to see the rift in the Democratic Party from the perspective of each side. We will also see how destructive this entire primary discourse has become to us, our candidate of choice and our beloved party. For these reasons I am hereby asking for a truce.

Tuzla Pilot Debunks Sniper Fire Story (With Video!)

Sat Mar 29, 2008 at 06:48:38 PM PDT

Gonna keep things short today because its the weekend and I'm too obsessed with the caucuses in Texas to focus on much else, but someone sent me the link to this audio clip of the pilot who flew Hillary into Tuzla on the now  infamous "sniper fire" trip. Just wanted to share with ya.

Chicago Sun-Times: Is Hillary Broke? (UPDATE PART DEUX WITH POLL!)

Fri Mar 28, 2008 at 12:04:57 PM PDT

We have been hearing about Hillary's money woes for weeks, ever since she loaned herself 5 Million dollars to make it through January. People began to wonder if the Clinton campaign was in serious trouble financially, but after announcing she'd raised 35 million in February those murmurs seemed to die down a bit.

Apparently, the murmuring is starting to get louder.

My Response to "Hillary Clinton and the Burning Down of the Black Church"

Thu Mar 27, 2008 at 03:55:03 PM PDT

For those who don't know, Aaron Dahl wrote a very good article called "Hillary Clinton and the Burning Down of the Black Church. The article is here.
I intended this to be my response there, but it took on a life of its own, so I decided to create a new thread just to share my answer with everyone.

Read on if you dare..

Hillary Doesn't Care. (My First Diary!) UPDATED

Wed Mar 26, 2008 at 03:55:14 PM PDT

Where do I begin? I guess there's no place like the beginning...

I am a black American man. I hate the term "African American". Why? It doesn't apply to blacks like me who were born with no visible ties to the mother country other than the tint of our skin. The only way brothers like me can trace their roots to Africa is through DNA testing, and even then we can expect a rude awakening when we find that even the darkest of blacks have caucasian ancestors. Going by skin tone alone, my skin color makes me about as African as Vijay Singh. (I am actually lighter than Vijay Singh, a middle complexioned black I'd say, and while testing I found I also have scandinavian ancestry as well.) Obama, on the other hand, can truthfully make that claim since his father immigrated from the country. Unfortunately, terms like "black" and "African American" are just symptomatic of the underlying racial problems this country faces, a country that has sought to divide and compartmentalize us all no matter what our ethnic and social backgrounds.  I could go on all day about the perspective from my side of the racial divide, but that's a discussion for another day.
