Clinton vows to halve murder rate in US cities

Hillary Clinton on Friday accused President George W. Bush of spending billions of dollars to police Iraq's "civil war" while cutting crime fighting in dangerous US inner cities.

The Democratic hopeful vowed to cut the murder rate in big cities by half if she becomes president, promised 100,000 new police officers on the streets, and laid out steps to cut America's huge prison population.

Thank you Senator Hillary Clinton.  I would just like to say thank you for everything you have done for me.  Thank you for your service and thank you for pushing me to be the best that I can be.  You see, because of you pushing me to be the best, you have made me a stronger supporter for Senator Barack Obama than I ever could have been if you were not running.  There are plenty of diaries dissecting the latest thing but I’ll just get this off my chest anyway.
