What it's like to have been blacklisted.
Mon Jul 21, 2008 at 08:07:49 PM PDT
Today I was blacklisted on this web site.
Throughout American history, and World history in general, people have been blacklisted. I've known that in the abstract, but to have experienced it first hand here has been a real eye-opener.
It gives me a new appreciation of the pain and frustration honorable people have gone through in the past. Having served as an officer in the Air Force for 20 years defending our country, and having 4 degrees from 4 different universities, this is a totally new perspective for me. Now I know how others must feel.
Being taxed can be a good thing.

I live in Texas.
I just saw a county road crew of about 6 Mexican Americans working in front of my property for two days.
On day one, those guys sweated and worked their asses off in 100+ degree heat, cutting down tree limbs that were overhanging power lines, road signs, and otherwise obstructing traffic.
The next day they sweated their asses off in similar heat loading the cut tree limbs into a machine that pulverized the limbs as fast as they were able to feed the limbs into the machine.
They did a valuable service for me, my wife, our dogs and cats, and the community.
We need a dirty word for Republicans

I don't get it.
Talk about self-inflicted wounds!
This is the last thing Democrats need.
One of our own, Hillary eff'in Clinton, supposedly speaking from a peasant's point of view, has made "elitist" a dirty word the Rebublicans will use over and over again against our obvious nominee, Barack Obama.
It's similar to the dirty word "liberal". How that became a derogatory label, I'm not sure. All I know is that words such as "liberal" and "elitist" have become dirty words to describe Democrats.
So what are the equivalent words used to describe Republicans? I know of none! Why are there none? Or am I missing something?
Whatever the dirty word for the bastards might be, the word needs to be a neutral ordinary word, such as "liberal" or "elitist", which are not inherently derogatory as commonly used in political dialogue.
The faster we can come up with a word or words to castigate the Republican bastards, the sooner we get off our duffs and go on the ATTACK.
I hate to admit, I simply can't think of the appropriate attack word/s.
Please post your ideas for potential attack words HERE. Thanks.
