Tue Oct 19, 2004 at 07:20:01 PM PDT
An American Connection flight opperated by Corporate Airlines has just crashed 2 miles south of Kirksville Missouri. They run Daily flights from St. Louis to Kirksville. There were between 15 and 17 people on board. As of right now there is no word on survivors.
The pilots for these flights stay at the Hotel where I work. I see them on a daily basis, and they are some of the nicest people that stay with us. If you are a person who prays, please do so for the people on board and their families.
Thank You-

I work for Cendant Hotels (Days Inn, Ramada, Super 8, Howard Johnson) and until recently I enjoyed unfettered access to the internet. However, when I came back from vacation, none of my usual daily reads (Mydd, Pandagon, Atrios, Seeing the Forest, Body and Soul... essentially everything but dKos and altercation) were accessible. Cendant Network control is blocking all of these progressive sites, but I am still able to access every conservative website I could think of. Even drudge... I am wondering, is there anyone else out there who is having the same troubles? Or is this a glitch in my office computers?
Linda Jacobsen in MO 9th

Some refreshing news from the MO primary for the US house race in Missouri's 9th district. Linda Jaconsen was running unopposed as was her republican counter part, Kenny Hulshof. With all the votes counted in the primary, Linda brought in almost 15,000 more votes in a district that only cast 140,792 votes. This is good news for her campaign which hasn't recieved much publicity. I have always thought that she had a better chance at taking out the repug that has held the seat than most people are giving her credit for. Check out her campaign webste

Unfortunatly the hate amendment passed by a staggering margin, but I expected as much from Missouri.
