Poll Dump
Sat Feb 02, 2008 at 06:24:40 PM PDT
I'm not sure if these were posted yet as I did a search and did not see them. Anyway, Rasmussen has new polls out from:
New York
Rasmussen - Clinton 52, Obama 34
Marist - Clinton 54, Obama 38
Missouri - Clinton 47, Obama 38
Tennessee
Rasmussen - Clinton 49, Obama 35
WSMV TV - Clinton 36, Obama 31
Alabama - Clinton 46, Obama 41
I also see the Washington Post has a 47 - 43 Clinton lead nationally.
Debunking the Clinton is Unelectable Myth
Tue Jan 29, 2008 at 10:40:45 PM PDT
First let me say I haven't posted much since 2004, but I do lurk an awful lot, especially when it gets closer to election time. I am a Hillary Clinton supporter. I do try to remain objective, however. I do have my biases, but the important thing is that I recognize them, something many people on both sides don't do.
Now, this is not a policy diary or a campaign diary (though I try to lay out John McCain's weaknesses at the end). This deals almost entirely about electability and in particular, Clinton's electability.
I want to debunk the myth that she is unelectable and the myth that Obama is far-and-away the most electable candidate. I am not linking all the polls I display, but you can find all of them at Real Clear Politics and Rasmussen Reports
The Real John Kerry
Fri Dec 03, 2004 at 05:55:15 PM PDT
Simply put, there has been a lot of Kerry bashing on this blog. It breaks my heart to see it and I would do anything in my power to change the minds of the Kerry bashers out there. And so I am writing this diary. I intend to respond to all the problems that people have with Kerry, and from that hope to change the minds of at least a few people.
What has disappointed me the most is that people are bashing Kerry over his every move. He can do no right. He goes to a funeral for a soldier, but it doesn't matter. He voted for the authority to go to war, so he deserves part of the blame. He joined the recount effort. Too little too late, and he betrayed his supporters by conceding and not fighting.
I Got Member of the Religious Right to Vote Tim Kaine for Governor
Thu Nov 18, 2004 at 11:18:14 PM PDT
How did I do it? Well, it took no more than a ride home. Too drunk to drive, he offered that he would vote democrat once in the next five years. I said, the next presidency, you vote democratic. He responded it can't be presidential.
Now, for all the Virginians out there, we know we have an important governor race coming up in Tim Kaine v.s. Jerry Kilgore. Knowing he was from southwest VA, I said I would give him a ride if he voted Tim Kaine for governor.
ANOTHER OHIO POLL SHOWING KERRY LEAD

New Fox Poll Out
Tue Oct 19, 2004 at 11:05:15 AM PDT
49-42, Bush leads among likely voters.
I don't know the results among RV's, and this does cause a blipp in the momentum we have been having. However, there is a rumor going around that NBC will have the race as a dead heat when their poll comes out. I also advise somebody to look at the internals of this poll and see if it adds up.

Bush LIES About 9/11 Impact On Jobs
Fri Oct 08, 2004 at 08:07:55 AM PDT
We all know the republican talking points regarding jobs. We inherited a recession and we were attacked on 9/11. The Bush administration thinks it can hide behind these two excuses to account for the jobs lost over the last four years.
Don't let them get away with it. Hit them with these stats if a republican ever uses the 9/11 or recession excuse.
Also, with the lower than expected jobs number released today, you will certainly hear these excuses in the debate tonight, so it will be vital that Kerry counters them.
