I know this is a short diary

Mon Aug 21, 2006 at 09:26:17 AM PDT

But this is just too weird.

There is a restaurant in India called Hitler's Cross.

I shit you not. I can't add anymore to this story. Will delete if already diaried.

I think the owner is pulling a fast one, I know the historical connection to India and the Swastika, but the restaurant has a picture of fucking Hitler, greeting anyone who walks in.

The world really is flat.

Best Hackett story I never heard before today

This is care of Atrios, but I got the direct link to the Mother Jones site. Hacket really displayed the difference between acting tough and being tough. Correction: Okay this old news to some of you, didn't hear about it till today. Revisions made.

Senate Democrats to try to Derail Drilling

Tue Dec 20, 2005 at 06:54:53 AM PDT

Once in a blue moon I like to post a diary if I think (I did check) a relevant article has not been posted. It appear the Democratic Senators are all on board to derail the military spending bill over the language in it allowing for drilling in Alaska. Even Joe Lieberman is on board, and any time the repugs don't have Lieberman on their side to support a military spending bill, you know they got an uphill battle.

I still think Joe is still not worth the amount of saliva necessary to spit on him, but you have to like this move.

Apologize for shortness, but I have had fits trying to do block quotes, and I am more of a glib, pity comment sort of guy. I hated doing papers in college, and I was a history major. Isn't that ironic?

Pataki says screw this I'm outta here.

Wed Jul 27, 2005 at 10:48:11 AM PDT

Well it's safe to say that Spitzer is going to have to keep his ammo for another target because Pataki is not going for a fourth term.

I guess somebody thinks he is gotta shot at the White house. The question is how is he going to court the base of the Republican party. Is he going to try to follow the Romney strategy of trying to take public positions agains abortion rights and stem cell research, without actually doing anything about it? Or is he just going to find another way to milk 9/11 until that sacred cow is completely dehydrated.

I can say this, if anybody can lower the bar further then Shrub as president, Patakis is one of those guys with the right stuff.

God I hope this isn't a dupe diary. (I did check).
