NC-08: Don't Make Me Hurt People (Please VOTE!)

Fri Apr 20, 2007 at 07:58:52 AM PDT

The Grass-Roots candidate of All-Time just posted this on BlueNC.

Please Vote Yourselves "Grassroots All-Stars" Right Now

I really need your help today.

As you know, North Carolina's 'can do' campaign has been honored as one of the picks in Democracy For America's 2007 All-Star Grassroots challengers. What you may not know is we've learned we held the early lead thanks to netroots support and our outreach efforts, but have quickly dropped behind, most likely due to the large population in the states we're up against. I know that can't sit well with North Carolina Democrats any more than it does with me. YOU are the grassroots All-Stars of 2006, and will be of 2008. Let's prove it to the world.

The rest.

NC-08: Kissell Announces 2008 Bid!

Wed Nov 29, 2006 at 03:26:20 PM PDT

If it were any other campaign, this would be heart breaking... but for Larry Kissell, it's like he did win in a strange way. I guess that's why they call it the Kissell Effect.

His announcement on BlueNC:

NC-08: Robin Hayes Losing Votes and Mind today, Calls Our Military All Felons

Fri Nov 17, 2006 at 12:01:25 PM PDT

(From the diaries. You can contribute to Kissell's recount fund at our Blue Majority ActBlue page -- kos)

Robin Hayes didn't get his way last night as 300 more votes got counted he was trying to suppress in the counties surrounding Ft. Bragg.

He turned his spokesthing loose on AP.

"It's bizarre that the Kissell campaign is fighting for the votes of convicted felons and unregistered individuals," Hayes spokeswoman Carolyn Hern said Thursday.

Yes, folks. That's the ever "outrageous and bizarre" Carolyn Hern once again enjoying the taste of her own pink toenail polish. Carolyn was probably just confusing North Carolina's military families with her boss' contributor base - Tom DeLay, Duke Cunningham, Jack Abramoff, Mark Foley, etc.

Hayes' latest criminal enterprise consists of trying to deny legitimate voters by any means necessary to hold on to one more term in a newly Democratic congress. The provisional ballots are being counted in all 10 counties right now.

NC-08: When Robin Attacks, He Lies

Sat Oct 28, 2006 at 12:06:21 PM PDT

The most offensive yet from all-slime, all-the-time Robin Hayes...

Click here to see Robin Hayes lie.

This is a man with clearly bad internal polling. The Rovian effort here is to contort it to look like Larry Kissell is the guy running all the negative, bizarre and outrageous attack ads people are so sick of... so much so he was FINED for it. Of course, the dirty campaigner responsible for all the fuzzy sourced ads and push polls is none other than trailing, panicked Robin Hayes himself - the ONLY candidate running negative ads in North Carolina's 8th.

NC-08: $35.33 Cash on Hand... And Just Made RED TO BLUE!!!

Fri Oct 27, 2006 at 10:27:59 AM PDT

It's still wildfire rumor, but it's real. It's happening. We just took our country back.

I could cry. I am crying. This is political history folks. One of our own, our Netroots, all-Americana, southern populist, roll-up-your-sleeves and get-the-job-done, Larry Kissell, with just $35.33 in the bank...

NC-08: "Lord, yes. Please. Amen."

Thu Oct 26, 2006 at 05:54:08 AM PDT

From the Fayetteville Observer.

"You know we really need a change in Washington..."

...said Governor Jim Hunt as he walked a neighborhood off Bragg Boulevard with Democratic challenger Larry Kissell taking our country back one porch at a time.

The response from Beth Willis, still in her pink nightgown:

"Lord, yes. Please. Amen."

We got this! I'm calling you slack so-called Democrats out. Get off your ass.

Grassroots Galore, But No Green for North Carolina Democrat

NC-08 Candidate Larry Kissell Ends Third Quarter With $88.94 In The Bank (No, that¹s not a typo)

Political observers can always spot a B-List congressional candidate: They run sloppy campaigns, take out-of-the-mainstream positions, and tend to say some goofy things.

Rule #88.94: Show me the moneyyyyyyyyyyyy.

The Grand Old Pedophiles continue below the fold:

NC-08: Dead Even Polling and $88.94 Cash on Hand

Big. Brass. Balls.

Poll: Hayes 47, Kissell 46

Cash on Hand: $88.94

Robin Hayes Links CAFTA to Pedophilia in National Press, On Purpose

Wed Oct 04, 2006 at 08:14:40 AM PDT

Witness if you will the implosion of a multi-millionaire fat cat Republican incumbent that's been told he's "safe" so many times by out-of-touch DC politicos, he doesn't even realize he's already lost.

In the Hayes campaign's latest public gaffe (no they don't claim Saddam Hussein drove the 9/11 hijackers to the airport this time), self professed pet "bulldog" of Robin Hayes (yes, she actually brags about her boss calling her a dog to local reporters) goes on the OFFENSIVE in defense of Robin Hayes ties to disgraced pedophile Mark Foley with this quip to AP.

"They're trying to link CAFTA to pedophilia," Hern said. "He (Kissell) is trying to score political points on a molestation issue. That makes me sick."

Nice meme there tiger! Uh, bulldog.

NC-08: Cheap Date Robin Hayes Implodes to Hometown Paper

Thu Sep 14, 2006 at 07:05:17 AM PDT

So you were just voted the second most easy girl in school by a couple thousand of your closest peers that truly "know" you best... How do you defend your honor? Clearly, go to your hometown newspaper and brag about being voted the 67th most popular girl in town to buy dinner for.

The vote change is what earned Hayes second place on the Washingtonian Magazine's "Best & Worst of Congress" list in the "Spineless" category earlier this month. The Kissell campaign has been eager to share that news.

Hayes dismisses it as fodder from an entertainment magazine.

No one mentions that he was named 67 of the 435-member House of Representatives in terms of influence and effective leadership in the Power Rankings on congress.org, he said.

"I wonder why they don't mention that. It's very interesting."

They probably don't mention it Robin because there are at least 65 other members of Congress that manage to bring home more bacon than you without grabbing their ankles for every bad boy lobbyist that offers to carry your books into the cloak room.

Gas for $1.22 Per Gallon in NC! This is GENIUS!!!

Thu Aug 03, 2006 at 08:05:28 AM PDT

Put quite simply, Larry Kissell rocks!

The North Carolina Democrat running against Robin "Big Oil" Hayes is selling gas today at the price it was before the Fat Cat Republican took office... $1.22 per gallon.

The Charlotte Observer gives directions to Kissell Country.

The Real Deal versus The Raw Deal - A 4th of July Character Study

A reporter friend of mine just related the most interesting story about a Fourth of July parade she attended in her neighboring Montgomery County today.

TroyFest is apparently a big one -- a full blown, all-day street festival that begins with a parade showcasing Americana at it's finest... fire trucks, clowns, old timey cars and, of course, political candidates like Larry Kissell and Robin Hayes.

But Troy you see is in the 8th District. And that means two things these days - The town has lost jobs, lots of them, due directly to Hayes' bad trade policies he promised to vote against before he voted for them, and he still has to drag his fat ass to the parade anyway and pretend like he didn't just piss on the locals' legs and tell them it's raining.

So my reporter friend had much to say about how the day played out, the most interesting of which is Hayes is in serious trouble!

NC-08: Baptist Minister Takes on Right Wing Noise Machine

Tue Jun 20, 2006 at 06:48:09 AM PDT

When the Robin Hayes campaign read the latest poll showing Democratic nominee (and all around nice guy) Larry Kissell pulling into firing range in this competitive race, the four term incumbent evil had but one place to turn... nasty letters to the editor from rabid fundamentalist preachers.

Little did they know, Baptist ministers would fire back.

Below the fold, read the letter from Larry's minister that's burning up chain mails all over North Carolina this morning and making grown men cry.

Aint Free Trade Grand? Mega-Dumps Could be Last Hope for South

Tue Dec 27, 2005 at 04:39:27 AM PDT

Poor rural counties in North Carolina that once fought over attracting manufacturing facilities for the south's formerly thriving textile industry, are now fighting over other people's trash.

According to the Charlotte Observer:

Waste companies, said one industry official, are looking for large tracts of land with good transportation networks "and as few voters as possible."

As it turns out, that would be Richmond and Scotland counties in NC, both [temporarily] gorgeous areas in the heart of the 8th District, that desperately need the income now.

What's free trade got to do with it? Ask Rep. Robin Hayes:

Rep. Hayes to NC: "You need me more than I need you"

Thu Dec 08, 2005 at 05:57:39 PM PDT

Republican Robin Hayes, the multi-millionaire "representative" from North Carolina's mostly working class 8th district and always melodramatic rubber stamp for Tom DeLay, had some choice words for representatives from his district during a recent open session where constituents got to meet Robin Hayes.

The latest Montgomery Herald [print only] relates the gruesome highlights below the fold:
