An Open Letter to Patrick J. Buchanan

Sat Mar 22, 2008 at 10:26:31 AM PDT

Dear Mr. Buchanan,

According to the US DOJ the vast majority of crime is intraracial, victim and perpetrator look alike.  Even in the case of rape, the victim is also almost always the same race as her attacker. The "statistics" about crime you site your Whitey post are deliberately deceitful. Interracial rape is so rare that to use it as an example of the societal victimization of whites by the violent black man is demagoguery at best, but in reality, brazen, vile, race bating.

This is your shame, in the name of journalistic credibility, or just for human decency, the least you should do is correct your slur, apologize to Obama, the African American community, and all thinking citizens before you retire. Then spend your time volunteering in those homeless shelters that the white man so generously provides to the ingrate descendants of slaves. You may then acquire an appreciation of how fortunate the homeless are in general, and how especially lucky homeless minorities are.

Understand well, that as you distorted American history and the current status of racial opportunity in this country to cast whites victims of the ungrateful black man, you have validated every word of the Reverend Wright.

Please review her history. She was never troll rated. She didn’t use vulgarisms, or attack in a swarm, she was a "Trusted User". She kept to herself, but she just couldn’t stand the hypocrisy and spoke the truth, not even that loudly. But the mention of the truth is a mistake anywhere that outing the itis a dangerous, and outing it here is harder to control by the moment. Remember, there was no warning, not even as much as a troll rating. All she did was piss off the police. Last weekend she said Democrat wasn't a god, then in OPOL's diary she supported the position that there was an internal effort at DK to silence voices which weren’t mainstream enough. Heresy.

Helen Thomas just SERVED Leslie Blitzer on CNN!

Tue Mar 21, 2006 at 02:36:27 PM PDT

It was the best minute in TV since this morning when Helen embarrassed the President by asking why he planed to invade Iraq even before 9/11.  Leslie (aka Wolf) had Helen on to talk down to her about her questions to Bush earlier today. For some strange reason Leslie asked Helen why she thought the US invaded Iraq. Helen gestured toward Les (is our boy Les a neocon?) and said, (paraphrase) "Well because of the neocons at the Project for a New American Century (PNAC). Their plan was to invade first Iraq, then Syria, then Iran."

Les interrupted with some irrelevancy about all the 9/11 dead, and Helen leaned toward him and said, "They had nothing to do with each other...."

Then Helen said to Leslie, "Come home, you'll be welcomed."

(it gets better below)

Katrina is now

Thu Feb 23, 2006 at 06:04:51 PM PDT

The primary outrage of the Katrina hearings on the Hill, as well as the unspeakable horror of a "report" issued by the White House today is the use of the past tense. "What went wrong."  This AP story, New Orleans' Uninsured Get Primitive Care describes a health care system that rivals any in the third world.

It was only when the pain sent her into a hyperventilating panic several weeks later that her family called an ambulance and had her taken to the convention center. In the same concrete structure where thousands of fleeing families waited in vain for food and water, they now wait for medical care, dispensed by a skeletal staff of doctors working out of a collection of military tents.....

The pictures speak, or my lying eyes.

Nagin has been the target of the right wing attacks as example of Democratic failure. He became a Democrat to run for mayor, but it looks like his heart is dictating his loyalties now.

Nagin must be ready to let bygones be bygones.

These are interesting  in the failure of Coast Guard Vice Admiral Thad Allen to look the part of adoring sycophant. He's the guy in charge now so he's supposed to suck up.   In fact the Secret Service must have watched Allen's weapons carefully if these photos are any indication of his feeleing.

The storm didn't end until Tuesday!

Sun Sep 04, 2005 at 04:24:07 PM PDT

CNN is back on the Koolaide.

Col Walberg of the Air Force was just interviewed on CNN. He is worse than ANY of them so far. He said his troops were on the ground 24 hours after the storm ended on Tuesday, that's right, the storm now lasted until Tuesday.  Then, according to this dude, the troops were on the ground working. A 24 hour response time isn't anything to complain about the Col. explained.

Worse yet the CNN "reporter" didn't follow up to one lie after another.  He just kept asking questions and accepting the bullshit.

Bush is going to come out of this smelling like a rose yet again. I'm going insane.

Antiintellectualism in the Heartland.

Tue May 10, 2005 at 12:48:27 PM PDT

Central to the rise of the right nationwide is the embrace of anti-intellectualism. One popular example of this trend  is seen in the reason Bush maintains his popularity with around half the country. Americans like Bush because he's a man  with whom many believe it would be fun to sit down and share a beer. His grasp of the complex is irrelevant if he is a fun guy. Intellectual thought is ridiculed on the right from Rush to all of Fox news. Research is considered meaningless if it doesn't have a direct and immediate impact, the way things are now is just fine in modern America. Only fools learn for the sake of knowledge; who cares what a fool thinks anyway?
