Despite assurances to the contrary from Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid, Democratic insiders are certain Sen. Joseph Lieberman next year will be kicked out of the party's caucus and lose his Senate chairmanship if he addresses the Republican National Convention in St. Paul, Minn., as planned.
Lieberman's Democratic colleagues willing to accept his support of Sen. John McCain for president consider speaking to the GOP convention as the last straw. Lieberman was re-elected from Connecticut as an independent in 2006 after losing the Democratic nomination because of his support for the Iraq war.

Help! I need ammo for domestic spying debate!
Mon Feb 13, 2006 at 05:45:53 PM PDT
Our debate club's next topic (this Wednesday) is Bush's spying program. Since my school is overwhelmingly Republican, my friends and I are almost always in the minority during these debates. Unfortunately, I can't attend this next debate, but the teacher who runs this club has agreed to let someone read my prepared statements. I need all the help I can get, because there are people who simply recite everything the President says, and often times there is no one to point out the lies.

I got a call from the Portage County Democratic Party the other day, and they informed me that Sherrod Brown will be speaking at the VFW in Kent, Ohio around 3:00 (I think).
