Bush Is Winning Hip-Hop Debate

Mon Nov 01, 2004 at 05:55:54 PM PDT

Don't start yelling at me. It's an online hip-hop dancing debate. It's a funny joke, but Bush is up 50% to Kerry's 46% and I have to say I like his moves more than Kerry's.

Check it out at this site.

Remember, when you vote, vote for quality of dance style, not politics.

Hilarious Take On OBL

Fri Oct 29, 2004 at 04:59:00 PM PDT

Okay, get this straight. OBL is not funny. He's a mass murdering sicko, but Wonkette's take on the tape and its political implications is funny.

Here's the link, I'm Osama bin Laden and I Approve of This Message.

FYI - If you haven't seen The Princess Bride, you won't get it.

TO FIGHT VOTER INTIMIDATION

Tue Oct 26, 2004 at 03:37:26 PM PDT

We have to push as much early voting as possible and bring your video cameras to the polls with you.

If these rumors that the Republicans intend to hold up the lines, hoping that people will either get tired of waiting and leave or the polls will close before they get the chance to vote, then early voting will make that less effective. It's working in Palm Beach. The more people that vote every day up to November 2, the shorter the lines and the fewer names they have to argue about on November 2.

Secondly, bring your video cameras with you. Although many of these plans aren't something you can catch on tape and automatically show as illegal, maybe some of the less crazy folks will decide against their efforts if they see a bunch of cameras around. They won't know which ones are on them and probably don't want to be caught on tape.

THE DEATH OF BLOGS

Mon Oct 25, 2004 at 01:39:02 PM PDT

If the gods smile on us, all those cell phone voters that the polls can't reach will make this election a clear case. Not likely.

Odds are that we'll have a lot to blog about for some time after the election considering the lawsuits.

When all is said and done, what is going to happen to the blogosphere? As a blogger myself, I'm curious what you guys think.

"Too Late To Register" Signs Up In Same Day Registration States

Sat Oct 23, 2004 at 09:50:12 AM PDT

This article bothered me because the signs have been up since October 12, but it doesn't come across as a conspiracy. It just comes across as a very incompetent government and that's sometimes scarier.

You can find the article , but if you don't have a subscription the article is pasted below.

What isn't being mentioned is what George Will writes about. We hear about the government's incompetence. We hear about what Republicans and Democrats are doing, but what about the individual voter's responsiblity to own their vote, be informed and seek out the truth themselves before the fact?

TWO SMART CHICKS ON POLITICS

Sun Oct 10, 2004 at 07:21:11 AM PDT

Tried to rhyme, but I won't give up my day job.

The Washington Post's Online's Both Sides series had a discussion with two really smart women, Peggy Noonan and Donna Brazile.

With all the screaming, yelling, finger-pointing talking heads out there, regardless of what side you're on, it's nice to listen to a civil discussion (although the spin was never too far away) between two people who are smart, thoughtful and know their stuff.

BUSH did better, but lost on two points

Sat Oct 09, 2004 at 05:56:21 AM PDT

Bush did much better than he did the first time, but he couldn't have done much worse. Aside from the uncomfortable interuption of the moderator, which I think worked against him, he was alright.

Kerry won for two reasons

#1 - Kerry used Bush's own words against him better than Bush used Kerry's words against him. Mostly because the whole flip flop theme is tired.

#2 - Bush was fighting against two people; Kerry and Bush from Debate #1. It was obvious he had changed his style and was trying to make up and.

Bush's Isolation Could Be His Downfall

Fri Oct 08, 2004 at 06:01:37 AM PDT

If you watched The Daily Show last night, Bill O'Reilly was the guest and he made a really good point about Bush and his insulation. I don't like it when Jon has really big shot guests on because they spend more time on them instead of the skits and commentary that I like. Honestly, I think the guest spot is the least interesting part of the show.

SUPPRESSING THE MINORITY VOTE

Thu Oct 07, 2004 at 08:25:25 AM PDT

When the Congressional Black Caucus holds a hearing at the Capitol this afternoon on election preparedness, the topic of voter intimidation and dirty tactics is likely to come up. It's been an ugly thorn in Florida's side, but not just there. Accusations of voter registration intimidation and more are popping up everywhere.
