Do you really want to want to replace Don Young and Ted Stevens?

Some of you say that Young and Stevens are corrupt.  Some say they are wrong.  Some want to see stronger Democratic majorities in Congress. Perhaps a couple less people voting along with the damaging right wing crap of the last several years suits your fancy.  Maybe you are simply looking to move forward rather than backward.  In any case, many opinions here imply that you want to see them out of our House and Senate.  Even Young and Stevens know that in 2008 they will have to put up a fight to win.

How about a challenge?  A challenge to turn Alaska blue.  I will match, dollar for dollar, the first $500, within 24 hours, donated to my Turn Alaska Blue! actblue page.

A new poll (Young 43%, Benson 34%) shows Diane Benson within 9 points of Don Young, with Young well bellow 50%.

In 1990 John Devens almost took out Young.

On election night I heard a phrase over and over again that made me physically ill: "...If only we had known that it was going to be this close..."

Only a few days left where a contribution can help.

Diane Benson and her campaign team visited Fairbanks this weekend and had several campaign events.  I had the pleasure of meeting her and her campaign manager, Kris Pierce, for the first time.  Diane is a very passionate and determined individual.  Kris provided me with her speech concerning the Iraq war.

Last night I saw true courage.  Last night I witnessed true democracy in action.  I attended the Fairbanks North Star Borough Assembly meeting and I applaud Assemblymen Bontas and Statterly for producing a resolution that I feel a majority of Americans agree with.  It calls for the immediate resignation of Defense Secretary Rumsfield.

We have seen what the net roots can and will do for Ned Lamont, Jon Tester, and others.  I have donated money to both of them as well as others.  I have also donated to Diane Benson, Democrat, Alaska.
