Gee, Thanks Gov. Napolitano

Janet Napolitano, the Governor of Arizona, is frequently mentioned as VP material but folks who do so should be aware that, like another Arizonan, her national reputation is a little different from her reputation at home.
Here in Arizona, she is considered a "centrist" which means she's quite a bit to the right of what's popular with the national base. She reinforced that image with some comments she made today regarding the odious ban on gay marriage proposal that will once again be a proposition on our ballot.
Yes, after having defeated one such measure in 2006 - the first state to do so for such a proposition - we're faced with fighting it all over again this year. Plus we'll have the disadvantage of competing with our neighbor to the west for funds to fight it.
Impeachment Of Bush is a Mistake
Tue Jun 10, 2008 at 07:38:14 AM PDT
Impeachment would be a serious mistake unless that you believe all Bush deserves is a slap on the wrist for the crimes he has committed. Make no mistake: impeachment would be a slap on the wrist for the nature of the the Bush crimes.
McShame/Bush Fundraiser Chased Out of Phoenix!
Fri May 23, 2008 at 03:41:06 PM PDT
According to Jeff Farias on KPHX in Phoenix, next week's fund raiser for McSame will no longer been in downtown Phoenix, Arizona. Apparently, the prospect of a major demonstration against Bush, McSame and the war for next Tuesday evening was too much for the campaign.
This was a big fund raiser with $25K tickets. Apparently, we chased them all the way to a private residence in Mesa. This is a major embarrassment in McSame's hometown and we're LOVING it. If McSame as Bush thinks he can slither off to Mesa to avoid protesters, I think he's in for a surprise.
It's a little disappointing since I had planned to go. But activists should take hope that these thugs can be put on the run when they shove these fat cat fund raisers in our faces.
