We're on the cusp of the People Magazine phase now.

Every national tragedy gets to this point.  The media step back, stop focusing on the every day horrors still unfolding at their feet, and start the talk of "healing," and "moving on," and "heroism in the face of disaster."

I should probably qualify this up front by noting I am using "Red Stater" and "Bush voter" synonymously - even though I know many, many Red Staters voted Blue.

In keeping with our recently re-elected President's appeal that we strive to unite with our Red State neighbors, I would like to extend a formal welcome to those of you who are joining us here in the Reality-Based Community.

What? I hear you scoff. What are you talking about? In case you didn't notice, we WON! You're the ones who are going to have to come over to OUR side! You know, the Faith-Based Side! Heh, heh, heh.
