Today, my company held a small town hall meeting with our Republican Representative Jim Gerlach.  Rep. Gerlach recently won re-election following a very close race inside PA's 6th district against Lois Murphy.

The meeting lasted about an hour with about 30 minutes reserved for questions.

Last night I attended my second committee meeting for our area of the County.  There, I had the opportunity to talk with our candidates for State Senate, State Represenative, and a former Township supervisor.  We also discussed fundraising; voter regisration; rasing our profile; gaining new members; and poll watching for the upcoming election.  Plus, I had the opportunity to talk with some of the recent converts and listen to them explain why they switched parties and what has caused them to shift in their views.

Thursday night I had the wonderful experience to attend my first meeting of the Montgomery County Democratic committee as a member of the Area 1 Democratic Committee.  I, along with 340 other fellow Democrats, got to hear speeches from the State Reps and Senator as well as a speech from Lois Murphy and former Rep. Joe Hoeffel.  Each speaker laid out their vision of the Democratic Agenda for 2006 and I'm very excited.
