The FBI came for me yesterday. Really.

Yesterday around lunchtime the boyfriend calls me at work. "Chica," he says, "you should listen to this message." He plays a message from an NYPD detective asking me to call him. I was confused, but assumed it was some sort of fundraising request. A couple of hours later I called the detective and left a message. His voicemail said he was a part of the NYPD-FBI Joint Terrorism Task Force.
NYT Review of Path to 9/11 Sucks

I've looked for this but couldn't find it - I'll delete if this is a repeat.
If you need more proof of why this whole brouhaha is important, Alessadra Stanley, the Times TV Critic, has seen Path to 9/11 and weighs in on it. As anyone who follows Stanley can guess, her review is a piece of shit. Now I haven't seen the movie (because I'm not a conservative media whore) so I can't review it. Stanley has seen it (interesting...) and angry letters should be written.
For those of you who are not familiar with her fine work, it is so shockingly inaccurate that Gawker.com has a semi-regualr feature called the Alessandra Stanley Watch, wherein they note her many inaccuracies and mistakes.
Some quotes after the jump.
Where have all the yellow ribbons gone?
Thu Sep 22, 2005 at 10:01:33 AM PDT
This is my first diary...a little nervous. Just another little "is the tide turning?" indicator.
My mother lives in upstate NY. I visit her from the City most weekends and we go do the usual things city people are starved for - namely the local mall and big box shopping (I know, I know).
Since the beginning of the war, and peaking early this year, 3/4 or more of all the cars in the mall parking lot have had yellow 'support the troops' or red, white and blue 'proud to be American' magnetic ribbons. Some cars would have two or three. We used to play a game to see if we could find ribbon-less cars. It got to the point where we felt pretty vulnerable with our "I support Iraq Veterans Againt the War' bumper sticker and were considering adding a ribbon just to not be a target.
This weekend we went to the mall after I was away all summer. In the entire time we were there, in the whole parking lot, I did not see one of those damn yellow magnets. Not one.
Not very scientific, but it was really noticable. Anyone else see anything like this?
