Bush's Energy Plan: National Security Flaw

One of Bush's new energy proposals seeks to expand U.S. energy by further developing nuclear power. To do so places U.S. citizens in a direct line-of-fire of terrorists seeking innovative ways to cause destruction with little effort. There is no need to bring ones own bomb when theres one with a hub of powerlines waiting for trouble.

Should the title of "safe but rare" be applied as the basis of our national security when hundreds-of-thousands of lives are in jeopardy?

Government: Bastion of Protection

In an odd turn of social conservative libertarianism, neoconservatives have grown more and more apt at the replacement of centuries-old institutions with private corporations.  According to original social libertarians, the top goals of a government should be to protect its people and their private property. So, why is it that they have decided to outsource both of these protections to corporate interests?
