Who's Watching the Watch List?

Who's Watching the Watch List?

My name is on a list of real and suspected enemies of the state and I can't find out what I'm accused of or why, let alone defend myself.

I'm embarrassed that it took my own ox being gored for me to see the threat posed by the Administration's current restricting of civil liberties. I'm being accused of a serious--even treasonous--criminal intent by a faceless bureaucracy, with no opportunity (that I can find) to refute any errors or false charges. My ability to earn a living is threatened; I speak on civic action and leadership all over the world, including recently at the US Air Force Academy. Plane travel is key to my livelihood.

According to a recent MSNBC piece, thousands of Americans are having similar experiences. And this is not Chile under Pinochet. It's America. My country and yours.

Bush at Ft. Bragg - 9 Stripe 28 Star Flag?

Thu Jun 30, 2005 at 01:11:30 PM PDT

What do you make of the flag background at Bush's Ft. Bragg speech?
All the flags have 9 stripes and 28 stars!
Any coded messages here? Hidden symbolism? Subliminal Persuasion?  Or nothing at all?

Movie: The Impeachment of George W. Bush

Thu Apr 28, 2005 at 04:01:23 PM PDT

Can the impeachment of George W. Bush be imagined, visualized, acted out - portrayed on the big screen?

Who would be cast as the actors?
What would the plot outline be?
Would your local theater dare to show it?

Scriptwiters, movie-makers, anyone -- care to make this movie?

Or how about a Broadway stage drama? A fictional short story? A novel? An Outer Limits episode?

Ohio Police engage in ID thefy - legally!

Fri Apr 15, 2005 at 09:09:16 AM PDT

Cops in Ohio were putting together a sting in a strip club. They paid a 24-year-old informant a $100 a night to work as a stripper in the club (What? After tips?) But in order to carry out the sting, they gave the informant a false identity. Instead of creating a new one, they simply plucked the details off of some poor girl's drivers license and social security card, such that this girl now has being paid as a stripper on her record. And according to the law, this is PERFECTLY LEGAL -- in fact the Ohio police's right to do this was included as a provision in a new Ohio law that was aimed at stopping ID theft. Which also makes me wonder -- was this a commonplace practice in Ohio or anywhere else? Is that why they sought to protect it in the law? Is some guy using my ID to infiltrate NAMBLA right now?

A Serious Rumor

Thu Mar 17, 2005 at 04:42:48 AM PDT

I found the following on George Ure's Urban Survival website this morning.

If this is true....

A Serious Rumor

We have an unsubstantiated report from some of our usually highly reliable sources that there are some posts surfacing on financial web sites in Europe that are wondering aloud whether the U.S. government has now set up a new mechanism to in effect buy our own bonds.  According to the report, the way the process works is this:  The US fronts a big pile of money to a cooperating bank (most recently, alleges one post,  a Caribbean bank) about a week before the US bond auction.  Then, along comes the auction, and the US funds are used to buy up the US debt.

US Report Acknowledges Peak Oil Threat

Wed Mar 09, 2005 at 04:22:14 PM PDT

Aljazeera Article

"But this brand new senior-level report on "peak oil" is unprecedented in US government circles. It is not just the existence of the report itself that is such a landmark in the current oil debate. Its conclusions also pull no punches."

The conclusion of the report reads:

"the world has never faced a problem like this. Without massive mitigation more than a decade before the fact, the problem will be pervasive and will not be temporary. Previous energy transitions were gradual and evolutionary. Oil peaking will be abrupt and revolutionary".

British Revoke American Indepence

Wed Nov 24, 2004 at 10:24:38 AM PDT

Ha! Ha!

Home Office (London, UK) to the People of America

To the citizens of the United States of America, In the light of your failure to elect a suitable President of the USA and thus to govern yourselves, we hereby give notice of the revocation of your independence, effective today. Her Sovereign Majesty Queen Elizabeth II will resume monarchical duties over all states, commonwealths and other territories. Except Utah, which she does not fancy. Your new prime minister (The Right Honourable Tony Blair, MP for the 97.85% of you who have until now been unaware that there is a world outside your borders) will appoint a minister for America without the need for further elections. Congress and the Senate will be disbanded. A questionnaire will be circulated next year to determine whether any of you noticed. To aid in the transition to a British Crown Dependency, the following rules are introduced with immediate effect:

!!! WARNING !!! - Graphic Fallujah Pics

Mon Nov 15, 2004 at 02:34:50 PM PDT

Pictures from Fallujah that probably won't be on your television.

Monday, November 15, 2004
I'm not going to say I have any great mission with this. I'm really angry with my country and I don't know what else to do. When I look at these pictures and think of someone's mother or father, someone's child...it makes me sad. If I look at these pictures and imagine my family...it makes me angry.

We have created a generation of Iraqis that have every reason to hate us.

Soviet America - Bush Hires 2 Former KGB Chiefs

Sun Nov 14, 2004 at 10:23:12 PM PDT

Bush has hired not one, but TWO former heads of the Soviet KGB to help spy on Americans.

You will be happy to learn that the former head of the KGB (the secret police of the former Soviet Union), General Yevgeni Primakov, has been hired as a consultant by the US Department of Homeland Security. Do you think he will share his expertise in "security" to prepare US citizens for domestic internal passports under the pretense of fighting the never-ending "War on Terrorism"?

Primakov has another old KGB friend working with him in the Department of Homeland Security, General Alexander Karpov, former KGB station chief of their Washington station at their embassy and the first director of the Russian Federal Security Service.

This is probably old news to many of you.  But, this is the first I've heard of it.  Nothing suprises me anymore.

!!! BREAKING - DIEBOLD SOURCE CODE !!!

Wed Nov 10, 2004 at 08:07:02 AM PDT

Dr. Avi Rubin is currently Professor of Computer Science at John Hopkins University. He "accidently"got his hands on a copy of the Diebold software program--Diebold's source code--which runs their e-voting machines.
Dr. Rubin's students pored over 48,609 lines of code that make up this software. One line in partictular stood out over all the rest:

David Boren in 2008!

Fri Nov 05, 2004 at 02:56:03 PM PDT

David Boren -- Governor of Oklahoma from 1975-1979, United States Senator from Oklahoma (1979-1994), and currently President of the University of Oklahoma -- WOULD BE UNBEATABLE!!!

See http://members.bellatlantic.net/~vze3fs8i/air/Elections.htm and some commentary at
Algorithm for Determining the Winners of Presidential Elections

This formula -- by Daniel Debowy and Eric Schulman -- has been 100% accurate in all presidential elections 1789 - 2000, and correctly predicted that Kerry/Edwards would lose in 2004 because of their combined score of -110 vs. Bush/Cheney's score of +113.

Algorithm for Determining the Winners of Presidential Elections

Wed Nov 03, 2004 at 11:11:53 AM PDT

The Democrats would be wise to check their candidate's electability against this formula by Daniel Debowy and Eric Schulman. It has been 100% accurate in all presidential elections 1789 - 2000, and correctly predicted that Kerry/Edwards would lose in 2004 because of their combined score of -110 vs. Bush/Cheney's score of +113.

By this formula, Hillary (score = 0) will lose if she runs in 2008.

Dean (score = +132) or Clark (score = +110) could win.

David Boren -- Governor of Oklahoma from 1975-1979, United States Senator from Oklahoma (1979-1994), and currently President of the University of Oklahoma --WOULD BE UNBEATABLE!!!

Boren's score by the algorithm is +154.
That's +110 (OU Pres) + (4 x 11 Okla Gov) = +154
