Neo-nazis threaten muslim massacre -- Freepers cheer

Wed Mar 22, 2006 at 06:39:27 PM PDT

There was an announcement today by a European neo-nazi group that they were planning on slaughtering Mulsim soccer fans who came to support their teams in this year's World Cup in Germany.  Basically a lot of bluster from some idiot skinheads who apparently fear nothing but the English.

Gender Identity Lawsuit in NH

Tue May 31, 2005 at 09:07:12 AM PDT

A computer programmer in New Hampshire has filed a lawsuit against St. Anselm College in Manchester.  The programmer was hired as Robert Blanchette and had worked for the college for 7 years, receiving many commendations for his work.  In March, Robert told college administrators that he would be taking a vacaton, and coming back as Sarah Blanchette.  Robert, now Sarah, had a psychological condition known as "Gender Identity Disorder."  Hit the flip to see the open-minded response he got from the administration.

Easy Civil Disobedience -- Make Your Kids Do It

Wed Mar 23, 2005 at 03:43:21 PM PDT

Gabriel Keys (foreground) is arrested by police officers for trespassing in Pinellas Park, Florida, March 23, 2005. The young protester attempted to take a glass of water into the Woodside Hospice for the brain-damaged Terri Schiavo. A federal judge rejected a request from the parents of Schiavo to order her feeding tube reinserted, dealing a blow to attempts by the U.S. Congress and the White House to prolong her life. I saw this picture on Yahoo.  The word disgusted doesn't quite do justice to how I feel about this.  Many of us have been involved in some sort of civil disobedience at some point in our lives, myself included.  I have never seen, at any protest, a parent put their child forward to be arrested.  There is no excuse for this.  I'm assuming there was some point trying to be made here, but excuse me if I missed it.  Sorry, but allowing your child to get arrested to prove your own political points is kinda shitty.
Perhaps the Florida Dept. of Children and Families could look into this kid's parents once they're done harrassing Mr. Schiavo?

The hypocrisy of "The New War" (Budget Cuts)

Bush Budget Calls for Cuts in Health Services
By ROBERT PEAR

WASHINGTON, Feb. 4 - President Bush's budget for 2006 cuts spending for a wide range of public health programs, including several to protect the nation against bioterrorist attacks and to respond to medical emergencies, budget documents show.

Anybody remember after 9/11, Bush called the WoT the "new battleground"?  A new type of war where we wouldn't be as reliant on heavy military spending but would instead have to strengthen our homeland against the type of attack that could be carried out by a couple of guys with bad intentions.  Of course, then he cut first responder funding, but anybody who mentions that is a commie.

Why Oil-for-Food was not the problem

Sun Dec 12, 2004 at 09:06:46 PM PDT

Conservatives love talking about Iraq's hidden revenues in the 90's.  They will scream "Oil for Food" until their vocal cords are shredded and our ears are bleeding.

And for very simple reason: it's great fun to be able to call Kofi Annan a thief, isn't it?  Makes people not have to focus on the president!  Well, then, shouldn't we account for the other 90% of Saddam's illicit funds?

Read on for the source of most of Saddam's illegal funds and how the US did nothing to stop it.
