Major Bugs found in Diebold Vote Systems
Tue Nov 16, 2004 at 03:33:35 AM PDT
Sorry if anyone posted this before, I did do a search several times...
And so the truth starts to unveil:
http://washingtontimes.com/upi-breaking/20041112-112037-7263r.htm
Washington, DC, Nov. 12 (UPI) -- The voting machine controversy likely will linger after a look at the systems source code software from Ohio-based Diebold yielded reports of numerous bugs.
Diebold was one of three companies -- including Election Systems & Software and Sequoia -- that provided updated technology for the 2004 election.
Computer Science Professor Avi Rubin of John Hopkins University analyzed Diebold's 47,609 lines of code and found it uses an encryption key that was hacked in 1997 and no longer is used in secure programs.
Rubin said Diebold has said it repaired the security flaws in subsequent programs, but that the company has not produced the code for analysis.
Diebold did return a call for comment.
The Digital Encryption Standard 56-bit encryption key used can be unlocked by a key embedded in all the source code, meaning all Diebold machines would respond to the same key.
Arthur Pinner - Chair of the DEC for Dixie County, FL
Thu Nov 11, 2004 at 11:15:17 AM PDT
I saw this article today:
http://tampatrib.com/floridametronews/MGBQNBVHE1E.html
Which stated Arthur Pinner, Democratic Chair of Dixie County had voted for Bush himself..
Excepted from Tampa Tribune today 11/11/04 Metro Section (Link Above):
Dubious Democrats
Arthur Pinner, Dixie County Democratic chairman, took the argument further. He voted personally for Bush, he said, ``on account of his morals.''

Okay, this is a true story in Florida, how do you think it will play out?
A Democratic Man running for a County Commission Seat notices that he doesn't receive ANY NOT ONE vote in one precinct. He questions a few people and me too, I recommend him to someone who knows ACLU lawyers very well and one of them agrees to help the candidate. It turns out Him NOR the Republican Candidate WERE PUT ON THE BALLOT in that PRECINCT WHICH IS SPLIT BETWEEN TWO DISTRICTS IN EITHER DISTRICT which is a clear case of total voter disenfranchisement IMHO.
The Democrat would not win even if he received all votes from that precinct but that does not disregard the fact, these people on that precinct never got to vote on who their county commissioner should be.
If you were the judge, how would you rule? I am not a lawyer so have no idea.

My husband is a psychiatrist, he had a patient come in with a U.S. Air Force Recruitment Brochure in her hands. She said "this is terrible!"
My husband not understanding says "what do you mean?" She says "to put those recruitment brochures in your waiting room..." My husband says he had not done it and asks his secretary if there had been anyone in a military uniform in his office in the last day or two..he got a yes reply, but not a patient. He goes out into his waiting room and finds a couple of dozen of brochures in the magazine basket.
Yep, the U.S. Air Force Has hit a new low. They are now putting recruitment brochures in offices of physicians treating people who are trying to get medical treatment for mental health issues...
Yep, that's someone I want flying over Fallujah with bombs...
Evidence Mounts That The Vote Was Hacked

I just received this email...
Exit Poll vs Diebold comparisons
http://www.commondreams.org/headlines04/1106-30.htm
By Thom Hartmann
When I spoke with Jeff Fisher this morning (Saturday, November 06, 2004), the Democratic candidate for the U.S. House of Representatives from Florida's 16th District said he was waiting for the FBI to show up. Fisher has evidence, he says, not only that the Florida election was hacked, but of who hacked it and how.
And not just this year, he said, but that these same people had previously hacked the Democratic primary race in 2002 so that Jeb Bush would not have to run against Janet Reno, who presented a real threat to Jeb, but instead against Bill McBride, who Jeb beat.
"It was practice for a national effort," Fisher told me.
A Personal Decision

I have worked very hard the last 4 years to stop the Bush Agenda. I will be working the next 4 years to do so also. After serious consideration, I have decided the following action and am sending emails out to the persons involved, you don't have to agree with me, as I said it is a personal choice. However, I am wondering if in addition to the boycott mentioned of companies that contribute to the RNC, anyone like me is going to take it a step further?
Progressive's Rally
Wed Nov 03, 2004 at 11:55:09 AM PDT
I just emailed moveon.org and asked them to start and organize the world's largest Progressive's Rally on Inauguration Day in Washington DC to jumpstart EVERYTHING for decency and sanity in this country. I think it is time for W. to see the Power of the Progressives and that we won't stand for his BUllSHit on ANYTHING anymore. No Mercy. No Tolerance.
The Numbers Don't Add Up to this FL Pollwatcher
Wed Nov 03, 2004 at 07:39:29 AM PDT
I was a pollwatcher in Florida for my precinct and stated this before but yesterday instead of my usually almost all-white, Republican Precinct which usually runs about 58% or so to 42% where I have voted for years it was now filled with color..namely people of all colors, Hispanics, African-Americans, Pakistani-Americans, Indian-Americans, Arab-Americans, you name it, etc., for the first time. It was also **literally awash in a sea of youth** from the USF. I saw all these students and frankly was stunned and awed but I knew the University had been creeping up our way with student apartments and such and I felt the district was winnable due to the GOTV at the University and the numbers registered.
Florida Dem Poll Watcher Fraud
Mon Nov 01, 2004 at 09:38:45 PM PDT
Hi, this is my first post although I visit your site often. I am active in the Florida Democratic Party and will be a Poll Watcher tomorrow. I received a call tonight from Kerry Headquarters that Republicans were calling Poll Watchers and telling them not to show up as a replacement had been made or directing them to other precincts than assigned to, all false of course.
I saw the post about the touchscreen problems voting for Kerry. I will warn the poll greeters to warn Dems about them before they enter my precinct at least and tell the district leader when I meet him this morning..at ugh..6:30 am and have him call into Kerry Headquarters.
Wish Florida Luck..We Will Need It to Beat Bush Shenanigans.
