I logged in tonight and saw a banner ad for Chevron at the top of the list of stories. I am deeply troubled by this choice to mix ads with contents on this blog. First, ads were limited to their own column. Then they were allowed at the top of the site, but not within the space reserved for stories. This invasion of this site's content areas by ads crosses the line, IMO. Kos, if you need the money, ask for donations--we will gladly give! But keep the content areas safe for our own content, and do not allow advertisers to adulterate it.

I was watching "Countdown" on MSNBC. I had planned not to watch any 9/11 porn on television today, but I decided that I wanted to hear Keith Olbermann's personal comment. It was riveting; I will leave it to others to comment on it. What I will leave you with is an image of how I watched the President's address which followed. Maybe there was something wrong(right?) with my TV:
